Country Cabins Hotel Introduce
Looking for a distinctive "camping near me" experience? Consider Country Cabins Hotel, located at 25119 US-34, Chariton, IA 50049, USA. You can reach them at (641) 217-0534 or +1 641-217-0534 for inquiries and bookings. While the name includes "Hotel," customer reviews indicate that the interiors of at least some rooms are designed to resemble "little cabins," offering a unique blend of hotel convenience and cabin charm, which could appeal to those searching for a "camping cabin" experience with added comforts.
The environment surrounding Country Cabins Hotel, situated in southern Iowa near Chariton, likely offers a rural and potentially scenic setting. Iowa is known for its rolling landscapes, and being located off US-34 suggests accessibility while still potentially providing a sense of being away from the immediate hustle of larger towns. The first reviewer, traveling through southern Iowa, found it to be a welcoming stop, indicating a convenient location for those passing through the region as well as locals seeking a nearby getaway.
Based on the positive review, the "suite hotel part" with rooms like "the Bentley one" features interiors that evoke the feeling of being in "little cabins." This suggests a cozy and perhaps rustic decor, which might include wood accents or a layout reminiscent of a cabin. The reviewer also noted that the place was "spotless," highlighting a commitment to cleanliness. The ability to accommodate a whole family and the "cute decor inside" make it appealing for families looking for a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing stay. The "home away from home" feeling suggests a welcoming and comfortable ambiance.
Services and features mentioned in the reviews include:
- Comfortable and clean rooms with a cabin-like interior design in some suites.
- Accommodation suitable for families, including larger rooms that can fit multiple people.
- Coffee pots with coffee provided in the rooms.
- Friendly and helpful staff, as indicated by the office lady assisting over the phone and her uncle helping with late check-in.
- Flexibility in allowing one-night stays for traveling families.
However, the second review provides a cautionary note regarding their booking experience. While a website might have indicated that "up to 6 kids stay free" using existing bedding, the reviewer who booked a $75.00 a night room ended up paying $115.00 per room after the children were added to the reservation. This suggests a potential discrepancy between advertised policies and the actual charges incurred. It is crucial for potential guests, especially those traveling with children, to clarify the pricing and policies regarding extra guests directly with the hotel when booking.
To get a comprehensive understanding of the services and features of Country Cabins Hotel, especially for those interested in the "camping cabin" feel of some rooms, it is recommended to contact them directly. You can inquire about:
- The specific types of rooms or suites that feature the cabin-like interiors.
- The amenities available in these rooms (e.g., kitchenettes, fireplaces - if any).
- The hotel's policy on children staying free and any potential extra charges.
- Other standard hotel amenities such as Wi-Fi, parking, or breakfast (if offered).
- The surrounding area and any nearby attractions relevant to a "camping near me" experience, such as parks or nature spots.
- Pet policies, if you are traveling with animals.
Regarding promotional information, the first review praised the hotel as a "great deal" and the "best deal and place around" for the price, suggesting good value for money. However, the second review's experience with the children's policy indicates that advertised promotions should be verified at the time of booking to avoid unexpected charges. It would be beneficial to ask about any current specials or family-friendly packages when you contact the hotel.
For local users seeking a "camping near me" experience with the unique charm of cabin-style rooms and the convenience of a hotel, Country Cabins Hotel in Chariton, Iowa, presents an interesting option. The positive feedback regarding the cleanliness, comfort, and friendly service is encouraging. However, it is essential to inquire about the pricing policies, especially if traveling with children, to ensure transparency and avoid any surprises.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a "camping cabin" ambiance with hotel amenities near Chariton, Iowa, Country Cabins Hotel is worth considering. Contact them at (641) 217-0534 or +1 641-217-0534 to learn more about their cabin-themed rooms, services, and any current promotions, and be sure to clarify their policies on extra guests to make the most informed decision for your stay.

Country Cabins Hotel Reviews
This place is a true hidden gem. We stayed in the suite hotel part in the Bentley one. The insides look like little cabins. These places are a great deal. We were traveling home from cocoa beach Florida to new Prague mn. Our first stop was in Tennessee then the next one I looked for a place in southern Iowa I am so grateful to the lord that he led us here. It was late at night and we needed a place just for one night stay. The office lady helped us over the phone and her uncle who works here helped us around 11 at night to get into the place. The place was spotless. Out of all the rooms we stayed in on our trip this was amazing for the price. It fit our whole family. Highly recommend. It made us feel like we are home away from home. Very cute decor inside. Don’t be afraid to stay at the hotel part of this place they are wonderful. Best deal and place around. Very nice they allow one night stays for families traveling. I will reccomend this place to family who travel. They had coffee pots with coffee also.
Mar 09, 2025 · Andrea DircksJust a heads-up, the website says up to 6 kids stay free, and we used existing bedding . We booked a 75.00 a night room with kids and ended up paying 115.00 per room after the kids were added in. Included are 2 photos of the website under the children and extra bed policy.
Feb 27, 2025 · Samuel YoderA very unique, cozy, clean and welcoming place to stay. We travel all over the country on a frequent basis and this was a nice change from your typical hotel. We were only able to stay one evening but will definitely stay again when we return to the area.
Aug 18, 2023 · Clara PittWhat a great place to stay for an Iowa Deer Hunt. Super Friendly Staff...
Dec 28, 2024 · JAL HellcatWe had a 6 family reunion at Country Cabins and it was one GREAT weekend! The cabins are gorgeous, all brand new with a nice floor-plan and cute themes. The beds are top notch with new, high-end mattresses! GREAT night's sleep! The common area is great, we had a nice bonfire both nights we were there and the stars are gorgeous. There's a public lake across the street, great for fishing and swimming! We will definitely be back!
