As a campground within a Kansas State Park, CRABTREE COVE PARK offers a range of services designed to ensure a comfortable and convenient stay for all campers. The campsites within the park are equipped to accommodate both recreational vehicles (RVs) and tents. For RV campers, sites may offer electrical hookups (typically 30 amp or 50 amp), and some sites might also include water hookups. Sewer hookups at individual state park campsites are less common, but a centrally located dump station is usually available within Wilson State Park for RV waste disposal. It is essential to consult the specific details of each campsite when making reservations through the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) reservation system to confirm the exact amenities available at your chosen location.
Tent campers will find designated areas suitable for pitching tents. These sites typically provide a relatively level area for tent setup, along with a fire ring for campfires and a picnic table for outdoor dining and gathering. The availability of shade at individual tent sites can vary depending on their specific location within the park, so it is advisable to review site descriptions or photos when booking, particularly if shade is a priority during the warmer months. Potable water spigots are generally located at convenient intervals throughout the campground, providing easy access for refilling water containers.
Clean and well-maintained restroom facilities are a standard feature in Kansas State Parks, and CRABTREE COVE PARK will provide these for the comfort and hygiene of its visitors. Campers can expect to find restroom buildings equipped with flushing toilets and sinks. Shower facilities with hot and cold water are also typically available, often located within the restroom buildings or in separate, easily accessible facilities. The park staff is responsible for maintaining these facilities to a high standard of cleanliness throughout the camping season.
In addition to the essential campsite amenities, Wilson State Park offers a variety of other services to enhance the overall camping experience. These may include a dump station for RV waste disposal, making longer stays more convenient for those traveling with RVs. Potable water fill-up stations are usually available at designated locations within the park. Park rangers are typically on duty or easily reachable to provide information about the park, local attractions, and to ensure adherence to park rules and regulations. The park also promotes responsible environmental practices, with designated areas for trash disposal and recycling.

CRABTREE COVE PARK Reviews
Oh My Gosh Yes!!! Absolutely amazing experience for all 9 of us. 7 of us were rookie tent campers and they still loved the campground, facilities, and swimming cove. The basketball court was also a highlight for the boys because it was in good condition as well. There's 2 gas stations and a Family Dollar about 10 mins away that we found quite handy. We will be back several times before winter.
Sep 03, 2024 · carmen kuehleIt was a great shady camping spot with a nice calm quiet cove to swim in on one side and fun big rocks on the other. The sites were large with lots of room. There were little trails to the water all around. They had a playground and basketball court my son wished he had brought his basketball. The cliffs that people like to jump off was right around the corner as well as the little island called chicken rock. The water was so clear. It was a beautiful weekend and I'm glad we booked an extra 2 days. The attendance were super nice and cleaned the bathrooms every morning bright and early. There wasn't water hook ups but there was water to fill and a dump station. Also shower houses for tent campers. We will be going back again soon!

Mar 03, 2024 · laurie leonardo hinesMy FAVORITE park from Nashville to Denver. It’s quiet on the tenting side. It’s the best camping you can get. Just wish people stop dumping their cigarettes and trash. The rangers are hard working. They get on it. Great job Missouri on this gem. I’ll be back.
Sep 11, 2023 · Foose GooseOverall an amazing ab beautiful fishing and cliff diving area. Just dirty when people party there. Most clean their area and the latter do not.
