San Gabriel River RV Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Georgetown, Texas area? San Gabriel River RV Park, located at 40005 Heritage Holw, Georgetown, TX 78626, USA, offers a seemingly picturesque setting along the San Gabriel River. You can reach them for inquiries at (512) 966-3175 or their mobile number +1 512-966-3175. Online reviews present a somewhat contrasting view of this RV park, highlighting both its appealing features and potential drawbacks for prospective visitors.
One enthusiastic review paints a glowing picture, describing San Gabriel River RV Park as "amazing!" The reviewer emphasizes the peaceful atmosphere, well-kept grounds adorned with mature trees providing ample shade, and a friendly community that organizes social events. This positive feedback also praises the park's comprehensive amenities, even noting a thoughtful addition of a dog grooming station with an outdoor tub. This suggests that for some guests, San Gabriel River RV Park offers a first-class experience with a focus on comfort and convenience.
However, another review presents a more critical perspective. While acknowledging the property as "pretty," this reviewer raises concerns about the prevalence of stickers (likely referring to burrs or other prickly vegetation) and fire ants. A significant environmental concern mentioned is the condition of the San Gabriel River during the summer months, reportedly covered in scum due to low water levels annually. Furthermore, this reviewer alleges that management consistently ignores emails regarding resident harassment and issues with dogs off leash, also suggesting a bias towards long-term residents who engage in gossip and inconsistent rule enforcement. These are serious allegations that potential visitors should consider carefully.
Given these divergent opinions, it is crucial for local users exploring "RV parks near me" to weigh these points objectively. The positive review highlights the potential for a tranquil and well-equipped stay within a friendly community. The negative review, however, brings attention to potential issues concerning the environment (pests, river condition), management responsiveness, and fairness in rule enforcement. It is important to note that individual experiences can vary, and these reviews represent specific instances in time.
To provide a more detailed introduction to San Gabriel River RV Park based on the available information, we can consider the potential environment, services, and features suggested by the reviews:
Environment: The park is described as peaceful with a "quiet country feel," featuring mature trees that provide substantial shade. The grounds are reportedly well-kept, suggesting an effort towards maintaining an attractive and comfortable outdoor space. However, the presence of stickers and fire ants could be a concern for some visitors, particularly those with pets or young children. The recurring issue of scum on the San Gabriel River during the summer due to low water levels is a significant environmental factor to consider, especially for those hoping to enjoy the river for recreational purposes.
Services and Features: The positive review indicates that the park has "thought of everything," suggesting a comprehensive range of services and amenities. The specific mention of a dog grooming station with an outdoor tub is a notable and unique feature catering to pet owners. The existence of social events points towards a community-oriented atmosphere. While not explicitly detailed, typical RV parks often offer:
- RV sites with hookups (water, electricity, sewer).
- Restroom and shower facilities.
- Laundry facilities.
- Potentially Wi-Fi access.
- Waste disposal services.
The negative review's allegations regarding management's lack of responsiveness to harassment complaints and off-leash dogs, as well as perceived unfair rule enforcement, are critical points concerning the quality of service and the overall living environment within the park. These issues, if persistent, could detract significantly from the peaceful and enjoyable experience suggested by the positive review.
Promotional Information: No specific promotional information is provided in the given text. Local users interested in San Gabriel River RV Park should contact them directly at (512) 966-3175 or +1 512-966-3175 to inquire about current rates, availability, seasonal offers, or any specific promotions they might be running. It would also be prudent to ask about their policies regarding pest control, pet management (including leash rules), and how they address concerns raised by residents.
In conclusion, San Gabriel River RV Park in Georgetown, Texas, presents a location with appealing natural features such as mature trees and a seemingly peaceful ambiance. The mention of thoughtful amenities like a dog grooming station and social events suggests a park that aims to provide a comfortable and community-oriented experience. However, potential visitors should be aware of the concerns raised in another review regarding pests, the condition of the San Gabriel River during the summer, and allegations of management inaction on certain issues and inconsistent rule enforcement. To make an informed decision when searching for "RV parks near me," local users are strongly encouraged to contact San Gabriel River RV Park directly to discuss these points, inquire about their current policies and services, and determine if this park meets their individual needs and expectations for an RV stay in the Georgetown area.

San Gabriel River RV Park Reviews
This place is amazing! So peaceful, the grounds are very well kept, throughout the park there are mature trees, lots of shade, friendly people, social events, first class all the way. They have thought of everything, even a dog grooming station with an outdoor tub to bathe your dogs!!!!
Sep 22, 2022 · Luciana DeVitoPretty property, but stickers and fire ants are allowed to thrive. Due to low water levels, the river is completely covered in scum all summer, every year. Management consistently ignores emails concerning harassment from residents and problems with dogs off leash. Management also favors long term residents who share gossip. Does not fairly enforce the rules.
Nov 14, 2024 · Gaila RaymerVery beautiful place to stay, people are so nice. This like a retirement community, they don’t allow you to live there if you have kids living with you.
Dec 24, 2024 · Tiffany EasonThe park itself is beautiful with mature trees which is both good and bad…the squirrels are relentless, during the pecan harvest season. Not to mention dead fall limbs inevitably hitting your roof. The pad sites are gravel and mostly level. The location is beautiful, right on the San Gabriel River. The camp staff work hard to keep it presentable. The amenities are good and clean with the exception of no ventilation in the bathrooms which is brutal in the summer. Also the septic tank near the showers/mailboxes simmer and smell during the summer. I stayed there a little over a year and was pleased until my wife joined me with our large service dog. They are not tolerant AT ALL with any larger dog regardless of how sweet it is, especially if it’s a “mean looking breed” for example a German Shepard. The community is very click-ish and not receptive of the younger crowd visiting (College age or younger. Most everyone keeps to themselves. The management is hard to get ahold of but will eventually communicate back with you. Just my honest assessment both good and bad.
Oct 01, 2024 · David McafeeThe place looks very pretty but they have a few people living there who act like they own the place and there's nothing to do about it, except for.that everything it's really niece and pretty but somebody has to do something about some negatives people living there who doesn't respect the rules, and act like flattered with managers so they won't ask to move out of the property
