Excellent campground! Very clean. Level parking. Bathrooms are spacious and clean, showers immaculate, and the shower water hot. Flush toilets at top of the campsite as well as at the base. Staff is super-friendly and the pricing is very reasonable. The owners/managers clearly pride themselves with this operation. I definitely recommend. See video I posted as well.
Jul 30, 2024 · Juli CaliforniaWe decided to stop in Virginia City late one evening with no place to stay. We called rambling moose and the owner was amazing! She went above and beyond accommodating us and our dog and stayed after hours to check us in.The gift shop is adorable with goods handmade by local artists and the campgrounds are immaculate!
Aug 24, 2024 · Jordon RogersThis property is located 1/2 mile from "the center" of Virginia City.We accidentally booked the cabin with 2 beds. Since it is just 2 of us, we thought it best to leave 2 beds available for a family that might need it. We emailed them to switch us to the single queen bed. They were very quick in their response. No issues or problems, we were switched. As we pulled in, my first impression was how immaculate and pristine the property looked. The lines between the gravel and grass were clean and straight. The grass was well manicured and green. The gravel was thick and pretty. There was nothing but beauty to see. These people care about their property. There are shaded tent-spots steps away from a covered picnic table and a real bathroom (a bathroom with lights, soap, hot water, a flushing toilet and an outlet to charge your phone). Next to the office are free hot showers, real bathrooms, coin-laundry facilities and a sink to wash dishes. Everything was spotless during our 48 hour stay.We stayed in a cabin. There was a small covered porch with 2 plastic resin chairs and a small plastic resin side-table. Next to the cabin is a picnic table and a grill for briquettes when there is no fire ban. Inside, there is a very comfortable, memory foam queen bed that is wrapped in a protective cover. The bed frame is made of logs and is beautiful. Bring your own linens and pillows. We travel with sleeping bags and pillows. There was a lamp, heater, fan, 2 screened windows, a side table, a small square dining table and 2 chairs. The floor is a washable surface (vinyl fake wood?). Because every surface was washable, it was very clean upon our arrival. All cabins have electricity.Check-in was a breeze. The owner was a delight. We talked for several minutes. My most important message to convey to anyone deciding to stay here is this: Safety, trust and piece of mind. They have a strict rule regarding dogs off leash. During our 48 hour stay, we witnessed one dog off leash for a minute. This was quickly addressed and not seen again. I appreciated this very, very much. When you enter the campground, it is clearly posted that only registered guests can continue or you must check-in the office. As we arrived, the owner immediately stepped outside and was greeting us. To me, this means they are very aware of who is in camp. Half the time, we did not lock our cabin. Additionally, they have ice for sale for $2.75. They could gouge the consumer and charge much more. Instead, I feel, they are decent people.Thank you for a wonderful 2 days at your property.
Aug 21, 2024 · Xx XxWe stayed two nights. GREAT PARK! Nice people. We had a very nice trailer space (1). Owners were fun to talk to. They are "hands-on" and you will see them all day in the park. Be sure to check out the gift shop. Nice local crafts with beautiful quilting made on-site. Virginia City and Nevada city are just down the road so this is a nice base camp for exploration.Be sure to fill your gas tank and get groceries in Ennis before you get there.
May 31, 2024 · Richard MuddSo far our No 1 Rv Campground since we have left 2 month ago from Florida. My husband and I have started a journey this year to visit all the western town up at the North western continental and we have been moving and camping making our way up. This campground was found on a last minute availability since another campground booked at Livingston MT messed up our reservations. As I scrolled and s search to find a place to camp the only available we had was here… And Right here we were surprised, amazed first of all of the beautiful sceneries as we drove up higher to montana, and as we arrived; I knew we found a great Campground.Mrs Kim was so kind to help us to find what we call a spot to come and rest after a long day of adventures around finding these old western towns. She took her time to explain us which areas where must see, the Legendary Virginia City and The Nevada Ghost town, The Mines Gold Rush.We stayed here for 5 nights in total and when time to level came we were sad to have to leave back to the crowded and busy campground we will find our way back down south wyoming and Colorado. The place itself is a gem, quiet and amazing starlight show, wildlife in the surroundings and 2 creeks that as the night falls and all gets quiet, you open your rv windows and you might be lucky enough that your sight is close to that soothing sound of the creek. The sunsets were amazing each evening we were blessed to be. And the outhouse detail moon…We met some nice people and the best of all location and the quiet and private space. The laundry room was clean and good. 2 big dryers and 1 washing machine. The showers and restroom were sparkling clean. Very good space, handicap friendly shower. They also have cabins along the river streams. Spot. For tent . Although all this is in a smaller campground is so well divided that each one has it one good spot and not stack nor crowded. The owners told me are in making more improvements and they have a store with unique gift to take back home. Great prices by the way. We felt in love with this area and will try to make it back for the fall season next year instead of summer.Thank you for such a unique amazing campground, well maintained and safe. It felt like Home for us.
