He is only a 15 minute drive to the ferry on Harkers Island. You can take the ferry to Shackleford Banks where you can see the wild horses and find some incredible shells and then ferry to Cape Lookout and view the beautiful lighthouse and beaches. There is also a visitor center and vehicles to rent to drive
