While the category "RV Parks Near Me" often suggests temporary accommodations for recreational vehicles, Country Living, like most mobile home parks, caters to individuals and families seeking more permanent or long-term living solutions within a structured park environment. This introduction aims to provide an objective and detailed overview of Country Living Mobile Home Park, drawing upon its location, typical services, key features, and especially insights from recent and highly positive customer reviews.
Country Living Mobile Home Park is situated in Altoona, Iowa, a vibrant and growing suburb just east of Des Moines. The address at 6930 NE 56th St places the park within Altoona's residential landscape, offering residents the benefit of suburban tranquility coupled with excellent access to a wide array of amenities. Altoona itself is known for its family-friendly atmosphere, recreational opportunities including Adventureland Park and Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino, and a continually expanding retail and dining scene. The environment within Country Living, typical of mobile home parks, consists of individual lots designed to accommodate manufactured homes, arranged along internal roads, fostering a distinct neighborhood feel.
The location in Altoona provides a strategic advantage, balancing a quieter suburban life with the extensive resources of the Des Moines metropolitan area. Residents have convenient access to major highways, facilitating commutes to employment centers, diverse shopping malls, cultural institutions, and comprehensive healthcare facilities in Des Moines. This blend of local amenities and regional accessibility makes Altoona a desirable place to live, and Country Living Mobile Home Park benefits from this advantageous position.
As a mobile home park, Country Living typically provides the fundamental infrastructure and services essential for manufactured home residency. This includes individual lots equipped with utility hookups for water, sewer, and electricity. Residents are generally responsible for their direct utility consumption, which is often managed through local service providers. Park management is usually responsible for the upkeep of common areas, internal roads, and overall park infrastructure.
The most significant insights into the services and features of Country Living come directly from recent customer reviews, which highlight remarkable positive changes and a strong focus on resident satisfaction. Multiple reviews praise the management team, specifically mentioning "Amy and Don" as "amazing" and "very sweet managers." They are commended for making the moving process a "breeze," answering all questions, and making residents "feel like home." This indicates a high level of professionalism combined with a down-to-earth, personal approach to resident relations. Such attentive and supportive management is a critical feature that significantly enhances the living experience in any community.
Furthermore, residents report a significant positive shift in the park's atmosphere over the past 2.5 years, with the community becoming "very friendly and not dog eat dog as it seemed prior." This transformation points to active efforts by management to foster a positive and harmonious social environment. Reviews also note tangible improvements, such as "new homes coming in and being sold," and consistent attention to "landscaping, and general care of the vicinity." This suggests ongoing investment in the park's infrastructure and aesthetics, directly addressing the quality of the living environment. The consistent high ratings and enthusiastic support for the "new management team" underscore a strong commitment to continuous improvement and working "with, instead of against" residents.
For those searching under "RV Parks Near Me," it is important to clarify that Country Living Mobile Home Park is primarily a residential community for manufactured homes, designed for long-term occupancy. Mar 28, 2025 · Alexis LeeI have lived in this community for 2.5 years. Many changes in that time, and since last summer all changes have been so positive. The atmosphere in the community is now very friendly and not dog eat dog as it seemed prior. I am anxious to see all the plans they have and our new management team come to fruition. I am giving a 5 star review because So much positive is happening and I see with that attitude you can only go up.It is now 1 year since my last post. Our community continues with so much positive energy. New homes are coming in and being sold. Landscaping, and general care of the vicinitiy is so present. It seems our new management from the top down are on the same page and working with, instead of against one another. I know they have plans to make our community ever so much better than the past. Onward and upward. GO TEAM!!!!!I maintain my 5 star award.
Mar 25, 2025 · PATTY SMITHHave lived here for over 12 years, moved here to raise my kids in a nice, quiet, country type community. It has taken some trials, tribulations, and some management turnovers (got rid of a few bad and lost a few good ones), but it seems it has returned to that direction. Amy and Don are currently running it and are doing amazing! They are kind, responsive, community orientated, and knowledgeable. It is extremely spacious, with a bike trail directly behind the property. The school bus comes into the community to pick up kids, drops them off at the entrance of the parking lot (school's decision). And shopping/amenities is located just a few miles away. I can finally say (and mean it) that I recommend living here.

They have been busting their behinds trying to get this place in order and it shows tremendously! Their follow through is on point. The office team here is friendly and easy to talk to. They sincerely listen and do their very best to help each of us here have a better living experience. It's been a night and day difference from my time here with past management. Plus, all 3 of the office management lives in the park and are just as determined to make this place a community home we can ALL be proud to live in!!UPDATE... Our management team here has kept word and continued since day 1 to follow through with positive improvements. Communication has been great with all of them.
