Radio City Mobile Home Park Introduce
Radio City Mobile Home Park, situated at 3848 E 14th St #70, Des Moines, IA 50313, USA, is an established mobile home community primarily catering to long-term residents. While it may appear under "RV Parks Near Me" search categories due to the nature of manufactured housing, its primary function is as a residential park for mobile and manufactured homes rather than a transient RV campground. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on available information and direct feedback from residents.
The environment of Radio City Mobile Home Park, as described by residents, reflects a community with a long history. It is noted to have originated in the 1950s, with many of the original trailers still present. This historical aspect contributes to a sense of maturity within the park. However, resident feedback also indicates that the overall environment presents some challenges. Reviewers describe the place as "trashy," with "trash and debris throughout the trailer court." This suggests that cleanliness and upkeep of common areas may be inconsistent. Similarly, the condition of the mobile homes themselves is a significant aspect of the environment, with many believed to be "in a state of disrepair." The internal roads, named after Hollywood actors of the period, are described as "dangerous and way too narrow," which could pose navigational challenges and safety concerns within the community. While the park is located in Des Moines, a vibrant city, the immediate environment within the park appears to be more rustic and less maintained than some other communities. The presence of older infrastructure and a perceived lack of consistent upkeep are key environmental factors to consider for potential residents. It is important for prospective residents to visit the park to assess the current environmental conditions firsthand.
The services offered at Radio City Mobile Home Park are primarily centered around providing lots for mobile and manufactured homes. Residents are responsible for their individual homes, while the park provides the infrastructure of the community. A significant service concern raised by residents pertains to communication and responsiveness from management. Reviewers state that "the manager refuses to allow anyone to contact the owner" and that "any repairs that need to be done and paid for by the owner are fobbed off on the renters." This feedback suggests potential challenges in getting necessary repairs or addressing issues that fall under the park owner's responsibility. While the park provides lot rental, the level of direct maintenance or support for residents' individual needs appears to be a point of dissatisfaction for some. Standard services in such parks typically include utility hookups (water, sewer, electricity), though the condition and reliability of these services are not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews. Waste management, such as trash collection, would also be a typical service, but its efficiency is not specifically commented upon. The phone numbers provided, (515) 266-2409 and +1 515-266-2409, serve as the primary contact points for inquiries, but the reviews indicate that the responsiveness to inquiries and service requests might be an area for improvement. The core service of providing a lot for a manufactured home is available, but the quality of accompanying management services appears to be a significant concern for some residents.
The features of Radio City Mobile Home Park, as highlighted by resident comments, provide insight into its current state and offerings. A prominent feature is its age, being from the 1950s, which gives it a long-standing presence in the community. The naming of the roads after Hollywood actors of that era is a unique, historical feature that adds a touch of character. However, this historical aspect also ties into the condition of many of the trailers, which are described as "original" and "in a state of disrepair," suggesting that the homes themselves might be older and require significant maintenance from residents. The narrow and potentially "dangerous" roads are a feature that impacts navigability and safety within the park. The presence of "trash and debris throughout the trailer court" indicates a feature that detracts from the park's aesthetic appeal and cleanliness. A significant feature that impacts residents is the reported "rent keeps going up $30 every 6-8 months," which is a recurring financial consideration. The reported lack of updates or improvements to the property implies that the park's physical features remain largely unchanged over time. While the park provides a place to reside, the features described primarily relate to the challenges rather than enhancements. For prospective residents, understanding these specific features, such as the age of the infrastructure, road conditions, and ongoing maintenance, is crucial for making an informed decision. The park offers a space for mobile homes, but the level of modern amenities or community enhancements appears to be limited based on the provided feedback.
When considering Radio City Mobile Home Park, any "promotional information" would primarily be centered around the availability of lots for mobile homes and potentially the affordability of these lots relative to other housing options in Des Moines. However, based on the customer reviews, there are significant concerns that prospective residents should be aware of. The repeated rent increases ($30 every 6-8 months) are a key piece of financial information that would impact long-term budgeting for residents. The comments about "nothing gets updated" and the manager's alleged refusal to allow contact with the owner, along with "fobbing off" repairs onto renters, suggest a lack of proactive management and investment in the property. These issues would need to be thoroughly investigated by any prospective resident. There is no information provided about incentives, special offers, or amenities that would typically be used to promote a community. Instead, the feedback points to a need for potential residents to manage expectations regarding the park's condition and management responsiveness. Interested parties would need to contact the park directly via the provided phone numbers, (515) 266-2409 or +1 515-266-2409, to inquire about current lot availability, rental agreements, and any rules or regulations. It is highly recommended that potential residents visit the park in person, engage with current residents if possible, and carefully review any lease agreements before committing to ensure that the environment, services, and features align with their expectations for a residential mobile home park, especially when comparing it to other options listed under "RV Parks Near Me."

The rent keeps going up $30 every 6-8 months! The place is trashy, and nothing gets updated. The manager refuses to allow anyone to contact the owner, and any repairs that need to be done and paid for by the owner are fobbed off on the renters.

BAD MANAGEMENT!! Stray animals and wild animals as in raccoons running all over getting into garbage constantly.. not even a nice place to invite company over!! Lot rent is Way to high!!!
Apr 01, 2017 · Melissa WiestI lived there comfortably for years...I miss it.Home is what you make it.However, since the newer office staff have been added, I feel discriminated against as a Caucasian woman. They state on my record that I was evicted ...SO NOT TRUE..I sold my home to a Hispanic family very cheap, I took a major loss to help them out. I'm LIVID and plan to pursue legal action against management. Their inaccurate reporting about my rental history has caused a major delay in my real life goals.
