Crow Creek Campground Introduce
Looking for a "camping near me" experience that combines riverside tranquility with access to mountain adventures? Crow Creek Campground, located in Naches, WA 98937, offers just that. You can reach them at (509) 653-1401 or their mobile number, +1 509-653-1401. Based on enthusiastic reviews from fellow campers, Crow Creek Campground appears to be a delightful destination for local users seeking a natural escape.
One reviewer described finding a "gem of a spot alongside the river," highlighting the appealing riverside location of some campsites. These spots are noted for being private while still offering convenient access to restrooms nearby. This balance of seclusion and accessibility is often highly valued by campers. The availability of a picnic table and fire pit at the sites enhances the traditional camping experience, providing essential amenities for meals and campfires. Additionally, the presence of "plenty of flat ground to set up a tent close to the river" makes these sites particularly attractive for tent campers.
The environment around Crow Creek Campground is rich and varied. Campers have enjoyed "Jeepin' nearby" and exploring the "beautiful mountain terrain," indicating opportunities for off-road adventures. The area also lends itself to more leisurely activities such as "small hikes" and walking dogs. The presence of "many other wooded riverside camps in the area" suggests that Crow Creek is part of a larger network of appealing natural camping spots, giving local users several options to explore.
One reviewer, traveling from the Seattle/Snoqualmie area, provided valuable information regarding access. They attempted to take FS Road #70 but found it had snow at the high point, noting that this forest service road likely doesn't fully open until June 15th. However, they highly recommended the drive via Highway 410 over Chinook Pass, describing it as "breathtaking" and a "beautiful trip" in itself. This suggests that while certain routes might have seasonal closures, alternative scenic routes are available to reach the campground.
Another returning visitor emphasized the "magic of the creeks" and the "large camping spots" at Crow Creek Campground. They noted that the campground operates on a "first come, first serve" basis, which has led them to experience different sites over the years. This suggests that while you might not always get your absolute favorite spot, there are many desirable locations within the campground. This visitor also mentioned that the campground, combined with the company of friends and family, makes it a "magical spot for a long weekend," underscoring its appeal for group getaways.
For local users seeking "camping near me" with a preference for warmer temperatures and shade, the first reviewer suggested heading over to Little Naches, indicating that the broader area offers varied environments to suit different preferences. However, the positive experiences shared about Crow Creek itself, particularly the riverside spots and access to mountain activities, make it a strong contender for those looking for a more traditional Northwest camping experience.
To summarize the features and environment of Crow Creek Campground:
- Riverside campsites, some described as private.
- Restrooms nearby the campsites.
- Access to beautiful mountain terrain suitable for Jeeping and hiking.
- Individual sites equipped with a picnic table and fire pit.

Crow Creek Campground Reviews
We found a gem of a spot alongside the river. Our site was private, yet had restrooms near by. We did a little Jeepin' near by and explored the beautiful mountain terrain, took a small hike, and walked the dogs around a bit. The site had a picnic table and fire pit and plenty of flat ground to set up a tent close to the river. We definitely noted the location of this campground so that we could visit again. There are many other wooded riverside camps in the area. Head over to Little Naches if you are looking for warmer temps, nice shade when you need it, and an authentic NW camp experience. We had a blast. Also, we were coming from Seattle (Snoqualmie actually), and tried taking FS Road #70 but it had snow at the high point. Sounds like that forest service road doesn't open fully until June 15. But driving around on 410 and going over Chinook Pass was breathtaking. What a beautiful trip! Get out there!
Jun 07, 2023 · Brandon HunterWe come here almost every year and we love the magic of the creeks and the large camping spots. It is first come, first serve and that has forced us to stay at different spots. We definietly have our favorites and there are some hidden secrets to a few of these spots. This campground, friends and family make this a magical spot for a long weekend.
Oct 01, 2022 · Clint CarrLocated near the intersection of Crow Creek and Little Naches River. Pay to use sites; not reservable. Dirt and gravel road. Not easy for some trailers to get in. Picnic tables and fire ring at each site. Vault toilets. Garbage disposal available via dumpsters. No potable water. Usually wildlife in the area.Get here via Highway 410 to NF-40, a left onto NF-1902, at the Y-intersection (forward becomes 1920) go right across the bridge, a right once you cross the bridge, then a right down a dirt road where you will start to pass camp sites on your right-hand side. The info board and payment area is just ahead.
