Dallas / Arlington KOA Holiday Introduce
For local residents seeking convenient "camping near me" options in the Dallas-Arlington area, the Dallas / Arlington KOA Holiday located at 2715 S Cooper St, Arlington, TX 76015, USA, presents itself as a potential destination. As part of the well-known KOA (Kampgrounds of America) network, this campground aims to offer a range of services and amenities for various types of campers, from RV enthusiasts to tent campers.
The campground's location offers accessibility to the Dallas and Arlington metropolitan areas. Situated off South Cooper Street, it provides a base for exploring local attractions, entertainment venues, and dining options. However, one recent customer review noted a potential challenge regarding accessibility, mentioning that the campground is "right off of a Main Street and very difficult to get into from the road as they have a narrow entrance," which could also complicate exiting. This is a factor to consider for those with larger vehicles or those unfamiliar with the area.
In terms of the environment and upkeep of the grounds, feedback appears mixed. The review mentioning difficulty with the entrance also stated that "the grounds were not kept up other than cut grass." This suggests that while basic maintenance like lawn care might be in place, other aspects of the campground's appearance might not meet all expectations. This is an important point for campers who prioritize well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing surroundings.
Regarding services and features, the information available indicates the presence of certain amenities, although their current condition seems to be a point of concern based on one review. The review mentioned a "jump pad and playground" that appeared "abandoned for years," and a swimming pool that was empty ("The pool didn’t have water in it, so no swimming"). These observations suggest that some of the recreational facilities might not be operational or well-maintained at the time of the review. For families with children or those looking to enjoy these specific amenities, it would be prudent to verify their current status directly with the campground.
The laundry room was also mentioned in the review, with feedback indicating it was "very dirty" and lacked a change machine. This could be a significant inconvenience for campers relying on on-site laundry facilities, especially for longer stays. The reviewer's statement that they would not have used the laundry even with change due to its cleanliness raises concerns about the hygiene and upkeep of this particular service area.
On a more positive note, another recent review described the Dallas / Arlington KOA Holiday as a "Great place to stay" and specifically highlighted the availability of "lot of pull through sites," which are particularly convenient for RV travelers. This suggests that the campground may cater well to RVs in terms of site accessibility. The same positive review also commended the "camp hosts Bryan and his wife" as "super nice people," indicating that the staff can provide a welcoming and helpful experience. This positive feedback about the hosts contrasts with the earlier review's comment about a less-than-friendly check-in experience, suggesting potential variability in individual interactions or staff experiences over time.
Considering the "camping near me" category, the Dallas / Arlington KOA Holiday's location offers proximity to urban conveniences and attractions. For local campers who value ease of access to the city while still enjoying a camping environment, this could be a benefit. However, the feedback regarding the entrance being difficult and the apparent state of some amenities should be carefully considered.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the given text. Therefore, local users interested in any current deals, discounts, or special offers should directly contact the Dallas / Arlington KOA Holiday at (817) 277-6600 or +1 817-277-6600. It is always recommended to inquire about any ongoing promotions or seasonal rates when making a reservation.
In conclusion, the Dallas / Arlington KOA Holiday offers a "camping near me" option with the potential for a convenient stay due to its location and reported availability of pull-through RV sites. The positive feedback regarding the camp hosts suggests a welcoming aspect to the service. However, potential guests should be aware of the concerns raised in one review regarding the difficulty of entering and exiting the campground, the upkeep of the grounds and recreational facilities (jump pad, playground, pool), and the cleanliness and functionality of the laundry room. It is highly recommended that local users considering this campground contact them directly to get the most current information on the condition of amenities, access, and any available promotions to ensure it meets their specific needs and expectations for a local camping experience.

Dallas / Arlington KOA Holiday Reviews
This campground is right off of a Main Street and very difficult to get into from the road as they have a narrow entrance. This also makes it difficult to exit when you are leaving. Check-in was, ok. Not very friendly. The grounds were not kept up other than cut grass. There was a jump pad and playground but it looked like it had been there abandoned for years. The pool didn’t have water in it, so no swimming. The laundry room did not have a change machine and was very dirty, so if I had change, I wouldn’t have done my laundry there anyway. With what the campground had to offer and the sad shape it is in, I’m surprised that koa has this listed as a holiday, it is a journey at best. I would not recommend staying here to anyone.
Apr 29, 2025 · Michael GGreat place to stay. They got lot of pull through sites. The camp hosts Bryan and his wife are super nice people. Will come back again!
Apr 25, 2025 · vedimuthan muthuIt can be difficult to navigate to the campground and the turns at the entrance are tight. It was disappointing that their propane wasn’t working. The sites are not level. The back in site took a lot of work to get in the site, would not recommend if you have slides on both sides. Some of the camp cats keep trying to come inside. The jumping pillow was nice but the playground is just swings. The dog parks are nicer. Didn’t interact with the staff because the office hours are limited during the winter.
Jan 26, 2025 · Katie HallOur site was small, but our camper is small, so it worked fine. The camp was clean, the staff were super friendly. Nice size pool, but we stayed in December so no pool for us. Men’s room had a couple of stalls out of order, (it happens). Kamp K-9 was a little muddy, but rain is rain. It was surprising to find a campground in the middle of the city that didn’t feel like it was in the city. All-in-all, we had a really nice stay. S. Cooper street can be a little noisy, but we felt safe.
Dec 30, 2024 · Viking_4RokVery tough to get campers in and out of this place. Owner is obviously greedy, this place is absolutely packed and has hundreds of sites and yet the bounce pad is in complete disarray, the worst I've seen at KOAs and the playground is just plain disgraceful. Just a couple rusty swings, no actual playground like other KOAs. The road is just freaking demolished, never seen bigger or worse pot-holes, and there are so many of them. I mean damn, the owner is making bank off of all the permanent residents in nasty trash campers here that can't even move, man put some money into fixing the road and give these poor kids who live here a decent playground, the dog park is nicer and has more stuff in it compared to the kid's spot. Massive massive red ant homes everywhere, pictured bellow is at the toss across, my 1 year old got his feet and legs bit up bad so fast within 1hr of us arriving at the KOA. RED ANTS his bites swelled up it was terrible! Owner is not prioritizing campers or kids, they are prioritizing their own profits. A disgrace to the KOA name. We were here an entire week.
