North Texas Jellystone Camp Resort is more than just a place to park your RV or pitch a tent; it's a comprehensive family vacation destination packed with amenities and activities designed to keep guests of all ages entertained. When local families search for "camping near me" with the expectation of a fun-filled and engaging environment for children, Jellystone Parks are renowned for exceeding those expectations. The customer reviews for the Burleson location strongly reinforce this reputation.
The resort's environment is geared towards family fun and convenience. Its location near I-35W provides easy access for those traveling from the DFW area and potentially other parts of North Texas. While proximity to a major highway offers convenience, the positive reviews suggest that the internal environment of the park is well-managed to provide a pleasant and engaging experience. The mention of numerous activities and the cleanliness of the facilities indicate a focus on guest comfort and enjoyment.
In terms of services and features, North Texas Jellystone Camp Resort appears to offer an extensive list. For accommodation, while the reviews don't explicitly mention cabin rentals, the related North Texas Jellystone Park (with a slightly different address but the same phone number) does, suggesting that cabin options might also be available here, catering to families who prefer a more structured lodging experience. The resort clearly caters to RVers as well, with one long-term resident stating, "It’s the best park as far as RVing goes that we’ve ever seen!" This implies well-maintained RV sites with the necessary hookups for full-time or short-term stays.
The activities at North Texas Jellystone Camp Resort are a major draw. One reviewer highlighted that there are "Plenty of options for kids to stay busy," mentioning "The barn is full of games," a "Swimming pool," and "Rides." This suggests a dedicated indoor game area and at least one swimming pool for guest enjoyment. Another reviewer, who has been a full-time RVer there for seven months, raved about the "LOTS of activities to do as a family," specifically mentioning "4 pools-including a big one," "walking trails," and "mini golf." The discrepancy in the number of pools mentioned might indicate different areas or the inclusion of kiddie pools. Regardless, the presence of multiple pools is a significant amenity, especially during the hot Texas summers.
Beyond the pools and games, the first review also lists "archery, gel blaster and laser tags" as available activities, providing exciting and active options for older children and adults. These types of engaging and somewhat adventurous activities set Jellystone Parks apart from more traditional campgrounds when local users search for "camping near me" with a focus on entertainment. The fact that these are mentioned positively suggests they are well-run and enjoyable.
The cleanliness of the facilities is another aspect that receives high praise. One reviewer noted that "Restrooms were cleaned many times over the day," indicating a commitment to hygiene and guest comfort. Clean restrooms are a fundamental expectation when searching for "camping near me," and the positive feedback in this area suggests that North Texas Jellystone Camp Resort takes this seriously.
The staff at the resort are also commended, with one long-term resident describing them as "very nice and friendly," and noting that some of them also live on-site, fostering a sense of community. Friendly and helpful staff can significantly enhance the overall camping experience, making guests feel welcome and well-cared for. This personal touch contributes to the positive atmosphere of the resort.
The mention of "walking trails" adds another dimension to the outdoor experience, providing opportunities for leisurely strolls and enjoying the natural surroundings within the resort. Mini golf offers a classic family-friendly activity that is often a hit with guests of all ages.
While specific promotional information isn't detailed in the provided reviews, the overall impression is that North Texas Jellystone Camp Resort offers a comprehensive vacation experience that justifies its potential cost. The sheer volume and variety of activities, coupled with the well-maintained facilities and friendly staff, suggest a strong value proposition for families seeking "camping near me" that provides more than just a campsite.
For local users in the DFW area looking for a "great weekend getaway close to area" with "Enough to stay occupied for entire weekend," North Texas Jellystone Camp Resort appears to be an ideal choice. Its proximity to a major metropolitan area makes it easily accessible for a quick family escape. The abundance of activities ensures that children will be engaged and entertained, while the comfortable amenities and friendly atmosphere contribute to a relaxing and enjoyable experience for parents as well.
In conclusion, North Texas Jellystone Camp Resort offers a compelling package for local families searching for "camping near me" that combines the joys of outdoor lodging with the excitement of a family-friendly resort. Apr 22, 2025 · Ruben YbarraFirst time visiting this RV park and we were pleasantly surprised! The park was clean and had many things to do for the kids but what made it special was the staff. They were polite and helpful, but particularly Brook, she was amazing when we visited the petting farm. She went above and beyond to make the experience special for my kids which really WOW'd us all.I would recommend this park, especially if you have younger children. Really cool property.P.S. I recommend you have them watch a couple Yogi Bear episodes to truly appreciate the details.
Oct 20, 2024 · K Lazothe park is huge... basketball court with balls provided, maze, obstacles, small water park, 2 dog parks, petting zoo, only thing bad was they had some stuff advertised but it was under construction and couldn't be used. gift shop is small but has some options... EVERY STAFF MEMBER IS VERY FRIENDLY! thats a plus. I do wish the horseshoe pits had some shoes and maybe have cornhole boards and bags provided for the amount we paid
