Devils Fork Campground Reviews
Found this place in route to Devils Bathtub Trail on Google Maps thank goodness! After 2 nights of car camping in the forest it was awesome to have a place so close to our next trail to relax at! Met the owners, which BTW its privately owned, and they were so friendly and gave us some of the history of the place. The place is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS with the tall exposed rock wall, the Stoney Creek running through, and tons of just greenery. We stayed at site 5 and backed right up to the creek for a peaceful night of sleep. Definitely recommend the camp place and Definitely recommend the Devils Bathtub Trail and also The Great Channels as well! They are I think within 30min from eachother BUT get to the hikes early if you want solitude.
Jul 26, 2023 · Emily RentschlerPhenomenal little camp ground. Well cared for and within a short walking distance to the Devil’s Bathtub trailhead. Surprised to have access to wifi while camping, too! What an unexpected bonus!
Jun 06, 2024 · Erin EstesDevil's Fork Campground is the spot for deep western Virginia, especially if you're visiting the Devil's Bathtub. The campground is so close to the trail leading to the Tub that you could walk there almost as easily as drive. The camp store is small but has a great selection of drinks and snacks, and they have plenty of ice and firewood to keep your cooler full and your food cooking. They have RV sites with water and power hook-ups as well as primitive sites for tent or car camping, all of which are spacious, have large areas of good gravel and of good grass, picnic tables, fire rings, and plenty of space to set up camp. We stayed over a weekend and actually got a chance to meet the owners who stopped by to say hello and make sure we were settling in well. They were great people and really made us feel welcomed and appreciated. They even have Wi-Fi which is great as phone signal can be hard to find in such mountainous terrain. I would absolutely recommend spending some time here and discovering the beauty of Scott County and of Dungannon, Virginia.
Jul 20, 2024 · Jason WiseWe have seen many campgrounds, but none as wonderful as this place, wonderful owners and wonderful stay! Came for 1 night, stayed 3, enjoyed the absolute quietness.
Oct 04, 2024 · jos heijkeMight be one of the best campgrounds I've ever stayed at! It's quite obvious that the owners (who were very friendly and welcoming) take a lot of pride in keeping the grounds clean and well kept. My husband and I stayed at campsite 11, which was in the shade on the bank of the creek. Falling asleep to the sound of the running water was just incredible! This might have been my favorite stop on our week long motorcycle camping trip! Can't wait to make another visit!
