Diamond Lakes Campground Introduce
If you're a local resident in the Hephzibah or Augusta, Georgia area searching for "camping near me," particularly if you're an RV enthusiast, Diamond Lakes Campground located at 113 Diamond Lakes Way, Hephzibah, GA 30815, USA, presents itself as a potential option. This campground appears to cater primarily to RV travelers, offering full hookup sites and access to the Diamond Lakes area. For those utilizing platforms under the category of "camping near me" to find convenient and equipped RV facilities, Diamond Lakes Campground warrants consideration, though recent reviews highlight some areas for potential improvement.
The environment surrounding Diamond Lakes Campground is naturally centered around the presence of the "Diamond Lakes." While the reviews don't extensively detail the scenic aspects, the name itself suggests a setting with lakes, potentially offering opportunities for water-related activities or peaceful lakeside views. The mention of the park maintaining the "rest of the amenities" well implies that there are communal areas intended for guest enjoyment, although the specific nature of these amenities isn't elaborated upon. However, one recurring point in the reviews is the issue of maintenance specifically around the RV sites, with one guest noting "waste high weeds" in the RV park area. This suggests that while the broader environment might be appealing due to the lakes, the immediate surroundings of the campsites themselves could benefit from more consistent upkeep.
Diamond Lakes Campground primarily caters to RV campers, offering "26 sites with full hookup." This is a significant service for RV travelers, providing connections for electricity, water, and sewer at each of these sites. The availability of full hookups is a key feature for those seeking a comfortable and convenient RV camping experience. However, one reviewer pointed out that "some sites have hookups in the wrong location," which is an important consideration when booking a site. It might be advisable to inquire about the specific layout of your chosen site to ensure the hookups are conveniently accessible for your RV setup. The campground is also undergoing "some improvements in progress," indicating an effort to enhance the facilities and guest experience.
Based on the reviews, the campground management seems to be evolving. One reviewer mentioned "No hosts at campground," which could impact the level of on-site assistance available to guests. However, there is a "key pad gate being installed," suggesting an effort to improve security and potentially control access to the campground. Reservations are "handled by the Reserve America app," indicating a modern and potentially convenient way to book your stay. The mention of a "security gate" that "never closes at night" and the lack of a restroom code being provided are notable points regarding security and access to facilities. These inconsistencies might be areas that the ongoing improvements aim to address.
In terms of specific features, the primary draw appears to be the full hookup RV sites and the proximity to the Diamond Lakes. The potential for lake-related activities (boating, fishing, or simply enjoying the waterfront) could be a significant feature, although the reviews do not explicitly confirm these activities are available or easily accessible from the campground itself. The fact that guests have stayed multiple times ("We have stayed here twice prior to this stay and loved it," and "I have stayed here 3 times") suggests that despite the noted issues, there are aspects of the campground that appeal to repeat visitors. The ongoing improvements also hint at a potential for enhanced features and amenities in the future.
Promotional information is not provided in the reviews. Local users interested in Diamond Lakes Campground should contact them directly at the provided phone numbers, (706) 726-7040 or +1 706-726-7040, to inquire about any current specials, discounts for local residents, or potential package deals. It would also be prudent to ask about the status of the ongoing improvements, the functionality of the security gate, and the access to restroom facilities, as well as any information regarding lake access and activities. Given that reservations are handled through Reserve America, it's also worth checking the app for any listed rates or availability.
In conclusion, Diamond Lakes Campground near Hephzibah, GA, offers a convenient option for local RV owners seeking "camping near me" with full hookup sites and proximity to the Diamond Lakes. While repeat visitors suggest a generally positive experience, recent reviews highlight areas such as grounds maintenance around the RV sites, security gate operation, and restroom access that may need attention. The ongoing improvements indicate a potential for enhancements, and prospective campers should consider these factors when making their decision. Contacting the campground directly for the most up-to-date information on services, features, and any available promotions is highly recommended to ensure a satisfactory camping experience.

Diamond Lakes Campground Reviews
I would give this park 5 stars if they would weed eat around the RV park like they do the rest of the amenities. We have stayed here twice prior to this stay and loved it. We loved it this time were it not for the waste high weeds. We have never been given a code to the restrooms so I cannot comment on that and the security gate never closes at night either. I guess that is a good thing because we don’t get that code to renter either.
Aug 12, 2024 · Dennis GillenwaterGreat RV campground with some improvements in progress. No hosts at campground. There is a key pad gate being installed. Reservations handled by the Reserve America app. There are 26 sites with full hookup. Some sites have hookups in the wrong location. I have stayed here 3 times.
Nov 06, 2023 · William HamiltonGreat park with full hookups. If you are traveling north/south this is a great easy spot to stop. We got a reservation at 5:00pm on a Saturday night. A definite stop for race fans as the campground is nestled in part of the old Augusta international speedway- great hike around the 3 mile road course.Update: spots 2-9 are not level and you will likely need a good amount of leveling. 10-25 are very level. They have showers but you need a code so we couldn’t get in.
Jun 20, 2023 · Melissa G.It was amazing! Spent two weeks there and had a very relaxing time. The rainy nights kept me from hanging out by the fire, but that’s ok. The sounds of the frogs and crickets were a great substitute.Richmond County Deputy’s do regular patrols around the area, so I felt very safe being there by myself. The lots are spaced kinda far apart, and there are privacy trees between quite a few of them. I’m referring to the back loop, Not so much the front loop. That one is very open. There’s fishing, tent areas, full hookups, and a nice bathhouse. It’s located at a regional park with softball fields, basketball courts, pavilions, walking/biking trails, a library and a recreation center.Keep in mind that it’s still in the city, so there’s the occasional fire truck that zooms by. But besides that, there’s so much stuff nearby also... convenient stores, grocery stores, auto shops, restaurants, and my absolute favorite laundromat! All right up the street at the main intersection! I enjoyed that the most. It’s a great campground location if you’re just starting out, and aren’t used to be in the middle of nowhere yet, like me.I enjoyed my stay, but will not be returning to LOT #17. It’s terribly uneven. It took way too much work just to level my camper, and emptying my tanks were a real pain in the... back. Never again. The rest of the lots are way better than the one I had. Just remember that.
Nov 23, 2020 · Shayla McGradyQuiet and calm place...all utilities are included and the service of the manager is excellent!!! Bathrooms are combination coded and are very clean and well stocked. The manager is only a phone call or a text away. Perfect place for a relax stop!!
