Encore Clerbrook RV & Golf Resort Introduce
For local residents and travelers seeking an RV and golf-centric "camping near me" experience in Central Florida, Encore Clerbrook RV & Golf Resort, located at 20005 US Hwy 27N in Clermont, presents a destination with both notable positives and areas for consideration. This resort caters primarily to RV travelers and golfers, offering a community atmosphere and picturesque views. However, based on recent customer reviews, it's essential for prospective guests to have a balanced understanding of the environment, services, and features before making a decision.
The environment of Encore Clerbrook RV & Golf Resort is characterized by its beautiful golf course views, as highlighted by one reviewer. The resort offers a welcoming community feel, particularly appreciated by golfers. The landscaping and overall layout have the potential to be quite appealing. However, a contrasting review points out some significant environmental and maintenance concerns. The dog park is described as being overcome by black sand and lacking maintenance, with uprooted fencing from past hurricanes not being repaired. Additionally, the shower rooms are reported to have issues with mold, mildew, darkness, cramped spaces, and clogged showerheads. There are also claims of poor water pressure requiring frequent filter changes. While the potential for a beautiful environment exists, the current state of some amenities and grounds appears to be a point of concern for some residents.
The services at Encore Clerbrook RV & Golf Resort are a mixed bag according to the reviews. On the positive side, there are mentions of a handful of "really kind employees" and the amenities being open late, until ten in the evening. The resort allows guests to set up their RV sites according to their preferences. However, significant issues are raised regarding the operational status and maintenance of other services. Clubhouses are reportedly typically locked and unused unless there is a scheduled activity. Laundry rooms are described as unclean, with reports of roaches, water damage, falling ceilings, musty smells, and dog hair in the washing machines. Air conditioning in the laundry rooms is often broken or non-existent, and windows are screwed closed. Furthermore, electrical boxes and water spigots at individual sites are described as worn and unstable. Lawn care on larger, paid lots often falls to the residents themselves. The availability and upkeep of amenities appear to be inconsistent.
The features of Encore Clerbrook RV & Golf Resort are geared towards a specific demographic, primarily golfers and potentially long-term RV residents. The presence of a golf course is a major feature, attracting golf enthusiasts. The resort fosters a sense of community, particularly among golfers. However, for families with children, the features seem limited and potentially unwelcoming. The playground equipment is described as suitable only for very small children. Child-oriented activities are reportedly infrequent, primarily around holidays, and not well-advertised. Scheduled activities often occur at times inconvenient for children due to bedtimes or school hours. Interactions between older residents and children at these events are described as disapproving and unfriendly, leading families to feel isolated. The resort's lifestyle appears to be tailored towards retired individuals, with complaints from some residents about children being too loud or riding bikes in the road. Other mentioned features include a dog park (albeit poorly maintained), clubhouses (often locked), and laundry facilities (with significant cleanliness and operational issues). The potential for amazing buildings and pool areas is noted, but their current maintenance and usability are questioned.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for Encore Clerbrook RV & Golf Resort based on the provided text. RV resorts sometimes offer discounts for longer stays, seasonal promotions, or packages that include golf or other amenities. To inquire about any potential promotional offers, local users should contact the resort directly via phone at (352) 394-5513 or +1 352-394-5513. They can inquire about current rates, availability, and any special deals that might be applicable for local residents or extended stays.
The customer reviews paint a somewhat contradictory picture. One reviewer, visiting family, found a "great, welcoming community," especially for golfers, and expressed a willingness to return despite acknowledging tight parking. This suggests a strong sense of camaraderie among certain segments of the resort's population. However, the second, more detailed review from a long-term RV resident presents significant concerns regarding the lack of family-friendly amenities and activities, the poor maintenance and operational status of various facilities (playground, dog park, clubhouses, laundry rooms, showers), and a generally unwelcoming attitude towards children from some older residents. This reviewer also points out issues with basic utilities like water pressure and the condition of electrical and water hookups at individual sites.
The long-term resident's review also raises the idea of potentially separating the resort into a senior-focused area and a family-oriented area, given the size of the property. They suggest more intergenerational activities and better-maintained, more inclusive amenities. This feedback highlights a potential disconnect between the resort's advertised "family friendly" status and the actual experiences of families living there. The reviewer's anticipation of moving out soon underscores the severity of these issues for their family.
In conclusion, Encore Clerbrook RV & Golf Resort offers a community atmosphere that is particularly welcoming to golfers and those seeking a potentially long-term RV stay with beautiful golf course views. However, prospective local users should be aware of reports regarding tight parking and significant concerns about the maintenance and operational status of several amenities, including the dog park, showers, laundry rooms, and clubhouses. Furthermore, families with children may find the resort lacking in dedicated activities and a truly welcoming environment, with some residents reportedly being less than accepting of younger guests. While the resort has potential and some positive aspects like friendly staff and late amenity hours, it appears that consistent maintenance and a more inclusive approach towards families are areas needing improvement. Local users are strongly encouraged to contact the resort directly to inquire about current conditions and to weigh the positive aspects against the reported drawbacks based on their individual needs and preferences for a "camping near me" experience.

Encore Clerbrook RV & Golf Resort Reviews
Now everything I have read about it being tight here is true. BUT after you get parked you will find a great, welcoming, community. Especially if you are a golfer. My wife and I only came here because we wanted to visit my sister but we are leaving with so much more. We will be back next year knowing it is a PITA to park and be happy to do it.
Feb 14, 2025 · Allan StuntzWe’ve been here almost a year in our RV, until we purchase our new home. It’s closest to my husband’s current LEO position and listed as family friendly. We have been to several thousand trails in Florida that claim to be all ages and family friendly with events/activities. That is far from true, with the exception of the one in Sarasota. In regards to Clerbrook :There is a playground, its equipment is for very small children. The only “child” activities were a few around the holiday and not widely advertised to inform families. All other activities are scheduled at times when most children can’t attend due to bedtimes, or when they are in school. If you do attend one with your kiddos, the older generation just stares disapprovingly and aren’t friendly and inviting, making us not want to attend as we sit at a table by ourselves and no one interacts unless they also have kids. The events provide non kid-friendly food and have music/entertainers for the elderly population. For some kids, this is their home and community too and many residents complain about them in the different groups on social media for being too loud, riding bikes in road (as if they can do so on grass and sand) and tailor the lifestyle to retired folks. The amenities are rarely all operational, or maintain a level of cleanliness and repaired /updated as needed. Clubhouses are typically locked unless they are having an activity so they sit dark and unused. The dog park is overcome by black sand and not maintained. The plastic fencing was uprooted from hurricanes and they have not been fixed. The residents go around picking up all the feces so their dogs don’t run/play in it I don’t use any of the shower rooms because they have lots of mold and mildew, are dark, cramped with clogged shower heads, and others reporting men using the women’s rooms when theirs is out of order. We pay for a bigger lot, but end up doing most lawn care ourselves. Every site’s electrical box and water spigot is about to topple over, worn and busted up. No water pressure at all! We have to change both filters at least monthly. The laundry rooms are not clean! Had a roach climbing towards my machine, ceiling has water damage and falling in, washers smell very musty and full of dog hair. There is no ac or it’s broken most of the time and windows are screwed closed. The good:The amenities are open late, until ten. There are a handful of really kind employees. The views of golf course are beautiful. They allow you to set up your site as you want. They have potential for amazing things with the buildings and pool areas/set up and location. However, they must be maintained, updated, inviting and actually open/operational and utilized with an abundance of activities and events for ALL AGES!My additional thoughts:Why not have a senior side and a family oriented side? The space is large enough. Why not have some activities where the older generation participates with the younger, such as utilizing the workshop for seniors to teach age appropriate kids to build a project? Why not have seniors coach little league or t-ball on the fields or even have teams younger than 50 be able to play? Have seniors offer music lessons or an activity they are experts at??- How about holding STEAM, crafts, musical activities for the kids or pool parties, themed activities/events weekly/monthly for the kids? Create volunteer groups with residents to plan child events, assist in creating an amazing dog park with activities and a dog washing station? I know many would volunteer for the things they are passionate about. Provide the families with things to do, specific areas set up for them, activities and events they are encouraged to attend/participate? I’m certain you would have a lot less undesirable behaviors and such a divided resort. The change is increase in rv living families and decrease in retired folks in Florida due to overpopulation. For us, we are thankful we’re purchasing our new home soon, otherwise we would be finding another place that provides what they advertise.
Jan 15, 2025 · Jodie ButtonMy wife and I spent a total of 4 weeks in 2 different sites. We enjoyed our stay. The golf course is amazing and made up for the sites we were at that needed some upkeep. The workers there are very friendly.
Feb 12, 2025 · Mike RoweMy husband and I stayed at Encore Clerbrook for 4.5 months. We winter in Florida and chose this park mainly for the hottubs and close proximity to our grandchildren, who live in Leesburg. For the price of the lots, which for us was over 1000.00 a month, we were very disappointed in the care and maintenance of it. Streets have potholes, landscaping is minimal, broken down and abandoned RVs, and junk permitted on people's sites. Policues of place NOat enforced. Hottubs were never hot and often not working. Front gate operated with code, and when put it, often did not work. Numerous waterline breaks and no notifications were given. Not enough dumpsters , therefore, dumpsters often full of trash and all over the ground when emptied. We would not recommend this park and will not return.
Apr 12, 2025 · Judy HigginsLook elsewhere! One of the worst encore resorts we’ve been to. Customer service is a joke. They do not care at all what your grievances are and will not put the customer first under any circumstance we stayed last year and had a horrible experience where they tried, forcing our 45 foot RV into a 30 foot site. We thought we’d give them one more chance this year and sure enough they’re failing again. We will not be back.
