Are you a local resident in Florida searching for a lakeside retreat offering cabin accommodations? If you're browsing platforms under the category "camping near me" and seeking a getaway that combines the charm of cabin living with the allure of waterfront access, Lake Harris Lodge, located at 11924 Lane Park Rd, Tavares, FL 32778, USA, might be a destination to consider. Situated on the shores of Lake Harris, this lodge offers cabin rentals and boasts proximity to various local attractions and amenities.
While a direct phone number for Lake Harris Lodge isn't explicitly provided in the given information, the address should be sufficient for locating them through online search engines or mapping services where contact details might be available. For local users interested in booking a cabin or inquiring about specific services, initiating a search based on the address is the recommended first step.
The environment surrounding Lake Harris Lodge is a significant aspect of its appeal. Its waterfront location on Lake Harris positions it ideally for those who enjoy lake activities. One reviewer specifically mentioned "GREAT FISHING!!" suggesting that the lake is a draw for anglers. The lodge's location between Banana Cove/Fisherman's Cove and The Hideaway, a restaurant on the water, indicates a potentially vibrant local scene with opportunities for both recreation and dining. The presence of mature trees and the lakeside setting likely contribute to a pleasant and scenic atmosphere.
In terms of services and features, Lake Harris Lodge primarily offers cabin accommodations. One positive review highlights "super clean updated cabins," suggesting that at least some of the lodging options are well-maintained and modern. This can be a significant factor for travelers seeking comfort and cleanliness. The mention of being "waterfront" implies easy access to the lake for various activities.
However, it's important to consider the feedback from another reviewer who experienced some drawbacks. This review noted that their cabin was "not super clean" and reported issues with ants and roaches. They also mentioned that the bed and most of the furniture were worn, and the docks were in disrepair. This feedback suggests that the condition and cleanliness of the cabins and facilities might vary, and potential guests should inquire about the specific cabin they are considering.
The proximity to The Hideaway, a restaurant on the water, is a notable feature. This offers guests the convenience of having a dining option nearby, potentially within walking or very short driving distance. The reviewer who mentioned the restaurant described it as "decent," providing a general idea of the dining experience available.
Considering the mixed reviews, it's challenging to definitively assess the overall quality and value of Lake Harris Lodge. The positive feedback regarding updated cabins and the excellent fishing opportunities needs to be balanced with the concerns about cleanliness, the condition of some furnishings and docks, and the perceived value for the price paid. It's crucial for local users considering a stay to weigh these points and potentially seek more recent reviews or directly contact the lodge for detailed information about their current offerings and the specific cabin they are interested in.
Specific promotional information is not available in the provided reviews. However, the lodge's inherent promotion lies in its waterfront location, potential for fishing, and proximity to a lakeside restaurant. For local users searching for "camping near me" and specifically looking for cabin rentals with lake access, Lake Harris Lodge presents itself as an option worth investigating further. The allure of a waterfront getaway with the convenience of nearby dining can be a significant draw for those seeking a relaxing escape close to home.
In conclusion, Lake Harris Lodge offers a waterfront setting on Lake Harris near Tavares, FL, with cabin accommodations and reported great fishing. Its location near a restaurant on the water adds to its appeal. However, potential guests should be aware of mixed reviews regarding the cleanliness and condition of some cabins and facilities. For local users exploring "camping near me" and interested in a lakeside cabin experience, Lake Harris Lodge warrants further inquiry to ascertain the current state of the accommodations and whether it meets their expectations for a waterfront getaway in the Tavares area. It is recommended to seek recent reviews or contact the lodge directly for the most up-to-date information before making a booking.

Lake Harris Lodge Reviews
A true hidden gem!!! Super clean updated cabins. Located waterfront between Banana Cove/Fisherman's Cove and The Hideaway (restaurant on the water). GREAT FISHING!!
Mar 19, 2025 · Mel YoungThe location on the lake was good. Restaurant right next door which was decent. The cabin was not super clean. Had ants and roaches get into food we left out the first night. The bed definitely has seen better days along with most of the furniture. Their docks have also seen better days. It was just a little run down for the price we payed to stay there. Won't go back.

Nov 18, 2023 · Jeffrey ColeThis is a really nice and peaceful place. From the dock you can take beautiful pictures of the Lake at different hours of the day. For those staying there are cabins and they have a lovely swimming pool. It is a great place to stay when you are passing by the area and want to stay for a few days to visit places of interest in Lake County.
