Encore Winter Quarters Manatee Introduce
For those searching within the 'camping near me' category, Encore Winter Quarters Manatee, located at 800 Kay Rd NE, Bradenton, FL 34212, USA, presents itself as an RV park with a potentially convenient location. You can reach them at (941) 745-2600 or +1 941-745-2600 for inquiries. Based on recent customer feedback, the park offers a mix of positive locational attributes and areas where improvements or changes have been noted.
In terms of its environment and immediate surroundings, Encore Winter Quarters Manatee appears to be situated in a favorable spot within Bradenton. One reviewer highlighted the "great location for an RV park," noting its close proximity (within 0.5 miles) to essential amenities and stores, making it easy to access supplies. Additionally, the presence of a "massive playground across the bridge" suggests a family-friendly aspect to the location, providing recreational opportunities for those traveling with children. The reviewer also mentioned a "beautiful" pool located by a pond, indicating a potentially scenic and relaxing amenity within the park.
The services at Encore Winter Quarters Manatee seem to include an office with staff described as "lovely," suggesting a positive initial interaction with park personnel. The availability of a gym with a "decent amount of equipment and a great view" is another noted service that caters to the fitness needs of guests. However, one review pointed out that the park appears to be "more geared to the retired and Canadians," which might influence the types of activities and the general atmosphere. This was illustrated by an experience with a line dance class that was not beginner-friendly. It's important for potential visitors to be aware of this demographic focus when considering the social environment and planned activities.
Features of the park include the aforementioned playground, pool by the pond, and gym. The fact that the park is currently "working hard to fix all their damage from the hurricane" is a significant feature to consider. This indicates ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the facilities, but it also suggests that some areas might still be under repair or not fully operational. Patience and understanding regarding these ongoing repairs are advised by the reviewer.
However, not all recent feedback has been positive. One long-term visitor, who had been welcomed since 2018 with rescue dogs and ex-pens, reported a significant negative experience due to a change in management and the application of rules without prior notice. Specifically, the park allegedly changed its policy regarding fence height for pet enclosures, deeming the visitor's 4' fences unacceptable despite years of prior acceptance. This resulted in the visitor feeling unwelcome and ultimately leaving the park to avoid putting their dogs at risk. This experience highlights the importance of confirming current pet policies and any recent rule changes before booking a stay, especially for those traveling with pets and specific enclosure requirements.
The same negative review also raised concerns about the overall user-friendliness of Winter Quarters, stating that it is "no longer as user friendly as it used to be." Specific issues mentioned include "gross" restrooms/showers, everything shutting down at 8 pm, the office being closed on weekends, no housekeeping services, and only one maintenance person. Despite these reported limitations in services and maintenance, the reviewer noted a strict enforcement of rules. These points are crucial for potential guests to consider regarding the level of service and the overall experience they might expect.
Currently, no specific promotional information or special offers for Encore Winter Quarters Manatee were mentioned in the provided reviews. Local users interested in potential discounts for longer stays, seasonal rates, or any other promotions would need to contact the park directly using the provided phone numbers. It might also be worth checking the Encore Resorts website or other online travel platforms for any advertised deals or packages.
For local users in the 'camping near me' category, Encore Winter Quarters Manatee offers a location with convenient access to nearby amenities and a playground, along with facilities like a pool and gym. However, it's essential to be aware of the potential demographic focus of the park and the recent changes in management and rules, particularly concerning pet policies. The reported issues with restroom/shower cleanliness and limited after-hours services are also important factors to consider when making a decision. It is highly recommended that prospective visitors contact the park directly to inquire about current policies, the status of post-hurricane repairs, and the availability of amenities to ensure it meets their needs and expectations.
In conclusion, Encore Winter Quarters Manatee provides an RV camping option in Bradenton with a seemingly advantageous location. However, potential guests should weigh the positive aspects of its location and some amenities against the reported negative experiences regarding rule changes, pet policies, and the condition and availability of certain services. Direct communication with the park is crucial to obtain the most up-to-date information and determine if it is the right fit for your camping needs.

Encore Winter Quarters Manatee Reviews
Great location for an rv park, there’s a massive playground across the bridge. Close by to anything you need ( .5 miles ) , office ladies are so lovely! Pool by the pond is beautiful. The gym has a decent amount of equipment and a great view. It does seem that they’re more geared to the retired and Canadians- love that but we attended a line dance class and the instructor told us it was for people who already knew the dance 🤪 needless to say we only attended the one class ( myself and 2 kids under 10) . Other than that brief experience, everyone and everything else was lovely. They’re working hard to fix all their damage from the hurricane so give them grace .
Feb 23, 2025 · Shawna BlivenHave been welcomed since 2018 with our rescue dogs & ex-pens. Management changed & application of rules changed without any notice. Arrived this year only to be told we are no longer welcome because we have 4' fences instead of 2'. ABSOLUTELY no compromise. We had to leave or put our dogs at risk. We left. Will never use an Encore park again. On top of that, Winter Quarters is no longer as user friendly as it used to be. Restrooms/showers are gross. Everything shuts down @ 8pm. Office is closed on weekends. No housekeeping & only 1 maintenance person. But YOU better tow the line & follow every rule or else!
Jan 22, 2025 · Robyn PhillipsWe are TT TC+ members and consider ourselves fortunate that this park is part of our program. There are a combination of trailer homes, and RV sites that are well maintained. Still a little Hurricane cleanup going on, but they are getting stuff done. The staff are very pleasant to interact with, and always make you feel welcome. The people who use this park seasonals/weekly/snowbirds were always smiling and cheerful. Plenty of activities inside the park, with text notifications when things are happening. The staff should be proud to be part of this place. No charge for package delivery like other encore parks, which is nice. Only downside is proximity to the highway and traffic noise. But you cannot blame that on Encore.
Jan 14, 2025 · Joseph CraigNice place compared to other RV Parks with full time homes. However, I booked a premium site and got stuck in the smallest space next to the maintenance yard. Bug spray required for your ankles or you will have problems.
Mar 30, 2025 · Shandel SantoriniNice RV park conveniently located between Tampa and Sarasota. Half an hour drive to the beach. Two pools, a pool table. gym, jacuzzi. Plenty of scheduled activities. Our spot was leveled with full hookups. We did enjoy our stay here
