Encore Terra Ceia Introduce
Looking for "camping near me" specifically catering to RVs in the Palmetto, Florida area? Encore Terra Ceia, located at 9370 Carnation Cir, Palmetto, FL 34221, USA, and reachable at (941) 729-4422 or +1 941-729-4422, is an RV park that has garnered a mix of feedback from recent visitors. Let's explore what you can expect based on these reviews.
Environment and Atmosphere:
Overall, Encore Terra Ceia is described as a "nice park" with the benefit of "giant concrete pads," providing ample space around your RV rig. However, one notable aspect mentioned is the current lack of significant shade, as the trees are still in their "growing phase." This makes it "totally ok for winter months" but might be something to consider during the hotter Florida summers. The park does seem to have a more relaxed approach to certain items, as they "allow canopies and a lot of things that other parks don’t allow."
However, a significant environmental concern raised by a reviewer is the severe issue with mosquitoes and noseeums. They report that the park does not spray for these insects, leading to relentless attacks, an experience the reviewer found worse than anywhere else they had been in Florida or across the country. This is a crucial point for potential visitors to consider, especially during warmer months.
One reviewer also noted that the park seemed to cater more to "snow birds," with activities primarily geared towards them, and that it was not particularly "kid friendly." This suggests a demographic focus that might influence the overall atmosphere depending on the time of year.
Services and Amenities:
Encore Terra Ceia offers several amenities for its guests, although some have received negative feedback:
- RV Sites: The park boasts "giant concrete pads" with "plenty of space around your rig," which is generally seen as a positive.
- Laundry Facilities: Multiple reviewers mentioned significant issues with the laundry facilities in the main building, including them being "hardly ever working" and reports of clothes being burned or stained. This seems to be a recurring problem.
- Recreational Amenities: The park does offer two pools, shuffleboard, pickleball courts, and a gym. However, one reviewer indicated that the clubhouses are "reserved for just the elderly," which might limit access for other guests.
- Park Rules: There are rules regarding open trailers being prohibited, but at least one reviewer felt these were inconsistently enforced, leading to a sense of hypocrisy as some long-term residents had open trailers with what was described as a "junkyard" on them, while the reviewer was asked to remove theirs quickly.
The lack of mosquito and noseeum spraying could also be considered a lack of a service that many might expect in a Florida outdoor setting.
Features and Highlights:
The large concrete pads and spacious sites are definite positives mentioned by a reviewer. The allowance of canopies could also be seen as a favorable feature for those wanting some personal shade. The presence of two pools, shuffleboard, pickleball, and a gym offers recreational options.
However, the significant issues with insects, the problematic laundry facilities, the perceived rudeness of some office staff (particularly an "older male"), and the feeling that the resort is not very kid-friendly and primarily caters to snowbirds are important points to consider as potential drawbacks.

Encore Terra Ceia and "Camping Near Me":
For local users searching for "camping near me" with an RV in the Palmetto, FL area, Encore Terra Ceia offers spacious RV sites with concrete pads and a range of amenities. However, potential guests should be aware of the concerns raised in recent reviews. The significant issue with mosquitoes and noseeums due to the lack of spraying is a major consideration, especially outside of the winter months. The unreliability of the laundry facilities and the reported rudeness of some office staff are also negative aspects to weigh. While the park offers recreational activities like pools and sports courts, it appears to be more geared towards snowbirds and less so towards families with children.
If you are an RVer looking for a park with large sites in the winter and are less concerned about shade, and if you come prepared for significant insect pressure, Encore Terra Ceia might still be an option. However, it would be prudent to inquire about the current status of the laundry facilities and the park's policies regarding open trailers if those are relevant to your stay. For those prioritizing a kid-friendly environment or expecting reliable laundry services and effective pest control, exploring other "camping near me" options in the Palmetto area might be advisable.
In conclusion, Encore Terra Ceia offers some appealing features like spacious RV sites, but it also has notable drawbacks based on recent feedback, including insect problems, unreliable laundry, and concerns about staff interactions and the park's demographic focus. Potential visitors should consider these points carefully when deciding if this RV park meets their needs for "camping near me."

Encore Terra Ceia Reviews
Overall, nice park. Giant concrete pads, plenty of space around your rig. No shade yet. Trees are still in the growing phase. Totally ok for winter months. They allow canopies and a lot of things that other parks don’t allow. My biggest gripe here is that they have rules about open trailers being prohibited. But that seems to be dependent on who you are. Plenty of people have open trailers here (one long term resident has a junkyard on theirs) and several other 10-12 foot open trailers on lots. I was told to remove mine within 12 hours of it being there and the rest of these people have had theirs sitting on their plots and their grass for weeks. Really hypocritical - besides that and the laundry facilities in the main building having issues, most is good here. I’ve been here for a month already and I’ve had issues with the laundry every time I’ve used it. I was going to stay 3.5 months next winter but because of the trailer issue, I am seeking another RV resortForgot to mention that they don’t spray for mosquitoes and noseeums. They’re awful. They attack relentlessly and I have never experienced this at any other location in Florida (or anywhere else for that matter). I’ve been all over the country and I’ve never experienced this. They need to do something about it. This is my second year here and it was just as bad last year
Mar 11, 2025 · KimfogsAll office staff is very rude, especially an older male, If I were the owners of this RV resort I would be EMBARRASSED of who I have representing my company. RV resort is not kid friendly. The activities that the resort does have are just catered for the snow birds, the director is not shy on letting it be known either. The new side is connected to the old side so please beware. There are two pools, shuffle board, pickle ball courts and a gym, laundry rooms are hardly ever working plus they will burn your clothes or stain them. The club houses are reserved for just the elderly…. Horrible experience‼️
Feb 12, 2025 · Sammy GarciaVery disappointed we did not get to stay in the new section of the RV park. There we many open sites? When inquired at the welcoming desk the person stated that NONE of the sites in the new area are available to Thousand trails members. All Trails members would have to be placed in the old section where there are a lot of permanent residents. It was very difficult to get a 40 ft RV to the site. The neighbors were not very welcoming. :(
Feb 28, 2025 · Ralph UzziThis RV park is a wonderful place! Staff are so accommodating and helpful. Being a travel, nurse can be a little stressful at times because you really don’t know where you may be month-to-month, but this park has accommodated my husband and I and taken a lot of the stress off of us. The park is clean, bathrooms are wonderful, as is the pool! Would HIGHLY recommend!!!!
Sep 17, 2024 · Farrah MarreroAll the hookups worked as they should it was a nice open space but there are very few that are near the dog park and then if you park there you're far from the pool. The staff was very nice and I would definitely use this as an overnight place. There are two different sides one main area and then a side area where the dog park is. The main area looked nice clean and open but your parts pretty close to each other as with all RV parks it seems. The other side where I was at near the dog park is a little more private and the people are friendlier perhaps it's more of a full-time area? All in all it was a good experience and I can't complain. Location is close enough to the beach but it's still out a bit for convenience. As far as convenience is concerned there is a Dollar General Store right next to the property that has plenty of different Supply needs.
