Evergreen Park & Campground Introduce
For local residents in Wisconsin and the surrounding region seeking a conveniently located and reasonably priced "camping near me" experience, Evergreen Park & Campground in Wausaukee emerges as a noteworthy option. Situated at 500 North Ave, this campground offers a blend of quiet surroundings and accessibility to local amenities, catering to both RV travelers seeking full hookups and tent campers looking for a pleasant outdoor setting. Based on recent customer reviews, Evergreen Park & Campground provides a solid base for exploring the area and enjoying a relaxing camping trip.
The environment of Evergreen Park & Campground is described as "overall nice little quiet," which is a significant draw for those looking to escape the noise and bustle of everyday life. While the campground offers a peaceful atmosphere, its proximity to some businesses means that campers may experience some vehicular traffic noise, particularly during the work week. This is an important factor for those highly sensitive to daytime sounds. The landscape includes trees, which are noted as being small at the time of the reviews. However, the potential for ample shade in the future as these trees mature is a promising aspect for campers seeking relief from the sun, especially during the warmer months. The campground is divided into distinct sections, with the lower area offering full hookups, catering primarily to RVs and trailers, while the upper section provides numerous areas suitable for tent camping, offering flexibility for different types of campers.
The services and amenities at Evergreen Park & Campground appear to be well-maintained and cater to the basic needs of campers. The restrooms are consistently described as "nice and clean," which is a significant positive for any campground. Showers are also available for use, although they operate on a coin-based system, requiring ¢.25 for two minutes of use. This is a point to note for campers planning to utilize the shower facilities. While Wi-Fi is not provided at the campground, reviewers indicate that there is good cell phone coverage, allowing guests to stay connected if needed. For pet owners, the presence of walking trails is a valuable service, providing dedicated areas to exercise dogs. It is important to note a specific operational detail: every Friday at 4 pm, the emergency siren is tested for three minutes, which campers should be aware of to avoid any unnecessary alarm.
Several features contribute to the appeal of Evergreen Park & Campground. The availability of full hookups in the lower section is a significant advantage for RV and travel trailer users, providing water, electricity, and sewer connections for a more comfortable and self-sufficient camping experience. The upper section's ample camping areas cater to tent campers, offering a variety of potential sites to choose from. The presence of walking trails enhances the campground's appeal for those traveling with pets or simply enjoying a leisurely stroll in nature. The cleanliness of the restrooms is a consistently praised feature, indicating a commitment to hygiene. Additionally, its proximity to a few bars within walking distance was a notable feature for younger adults in one family, offering a convenient option for evening entertainment without the need for transportation.
One important environmental feature to be aware of is that Site 11 is prone to flooding during heavy rainfall due to runoff accumulation. Campers should take this into consideration when selecting their campsite, especially during periods of anticipated wet weather. This information, shared by a reviewer, is crucial for ensuring a comfortable and dry camping experience.
Promotional information is not explicitly stated in the provided reviews. Its full hookup sites cater to RVers, while the upper section offers ample space for tent campers. Overall nice little quiet campground, some businesses are nearby so you’ll hear trucks and cars go by during work week. Trees are small as of the writing of this review, once they mature there will be plenty of shade. Full hookups in the lower section and lots of areas to camp at the upper section. Reasonably pricedThings to note, every Friday at 4pm, they test the emergency siren for 3 minutes.Site 11 floods when it rains hard since all the run off gathers there for some reason. There are walking trails for you to take your pup.Restrooms are nice and clean, showers are provided but cost ¢.25 for two minutes. No wifi but get good cell coverage
Aug 17, 2022 · Paulie BelohlavyWe went camping as a family over the 4th of July weekend in 2024. The little ones had a blast hiking, and the younger adults loved that there were a few bars within walking distance. The bathrooms were newer and surprisingly clean, even though the campground was packed.
Sep 12, 2024 · Marianne WeberFantastic park and campground. Very nice bathrooms and I love the new shower houses. 2 minutes for .25 cents and nice and hot water! Will Be back for sure!
Oct 02, 2024 · Chris GHave attended a few graduation parties at the pavilion. Great space to have a gathering. Bathrooms are a short walk away. Sand volleyball court and plenty of lawn/open space to have other yard like games. The small kitchen in the pavilion is really nice with running water, electricity, refrigerators, etc.
Jun 20, 2023 · Joelle RosinskyHad a wonderful stay over the 4th of July weekend 2021! Absolutely great experience! All brand new sites down below and new showers and bathrooms! Electric has 50A 30A and 20A in every box. Also had sewer right at the site!
