Fairgrounds RV Introduce
For local residents and visitors seeking a cost-effective and conveniently located "camping near me" option in the heart of Nashville, Fairgrounds RV, situated in downtown at Nashville, TN 37203, offers a budget-friendly solution for short-term RV stays. While it may have some limitations regarding space and noise, its prime location and full hookup services make it an attractive choice for those wanting to be close to the city's vibrant attractions.
The environment of Fairgrounds RV is distinctly urban, given its downtown Nashville location. Unlike campgrounds nestled in natural settings, this RV park prioritizes accessibility to the city's amenities and attractions. One of the primary environmental factors to consider, as highlighted by a customer review, is its proximity to the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. While the reviewer noted that "weekends can get noisy with race cars," this could also be seen as a unique feature for racing enthusiasts. Light sleepers or those seeking a tranquil environment might find this noise level disruptive. Another environmental consideration is the space between parking spots. The review mentions "no room between parking spots for awnings or grills," indicating a relatively compact layout. However, there is "room to open your slides," which is essential for RV comfort. Despite the lack of expansive green spaces typically associated with campgrounds, Fairgrounds RV offers the undeniable advantage of being "in downtown Nashville close to everything," making it a convenient base for exploring the city's music scene, dining, entertainment, and cultural attractions. The Fairgrounds themselves also host events like a monthly flea market, providing additional local experiences within walking distance.
In terms of services, Fairgrounds RV offers essential full hookups, making it a practical choice for RV travelers seeking "camping near me" with necessary utilities. According to a review, these include "City water," "30 & 50 amp AC service," and a "4 inch sewer connection." These are standard and crucial amenities for a comfortable RV stay. The mention of "no permanent residents" suggests a focus on short-term visitors, which can sometimes contribute to a more transient and less community-oriented atmosphere compared to campgrounds with long-term occupants. The availability of public restrooms is also noted, providing a basic amenity for guests. While other typical campground amenities like laundry facilities, recreational areas, or a camp store are not mentioned in the reviews, the primary focus of Fairgrounds RV appears to be providing affordable and functional full hookup sites in a central location. The phone numbers provided, (615) 862-8980 and +1 615-862-8980, can be used to inquire about specific services and their availability.
The features of Fairgrounds RV are primarily its cost-effectiveness and its prime location for those seeking "camping near me" with easy access to downtown Nashville. One reviewer explicitly stated, "Without question, this is the most cost effective short term RV stay in Nashville," claiming it's priced at "1/2 what is typically found in the outer perimeter." This affordability is a significant draw for budget-conscious travelers wanting to experience Nashville without paying premium accommodation prices. The ability to accommodate a "40 ft RV" indicates that larger rigs can be accommodated, although maneuvering within the potentially tight spaces might require caution, as mentioned in one review. The proximity to the Nashville Fairgrounds Raceway and its events, including the "cool" racing and the monthly flea market, offers unique local experiences right at the doorstep. For those prioritizing being close to downtown attractions, Fairgrounds RV serves as a convenient base for exploring the city's nightlife, restaurants, museums, and music venues. While the noise from the speedway on weekends might be a drawback for some, it's a unique feature for racing fans. The absence of permanent residents can also be seen as a feature, potentially leading to more availability for short-term visitors.
Currently, no specific promotional information is available for Fairgrounds RV based on the provided text. For local users and visitors searching for "camping near me" and interested in potential deals or special offers, it is recommended to directly contact the RV park using the provided phone numbers, (615) 862-8980 or +1 615-862-8980. Inquiring about daily or weekly rates, as well as any potential discounts for longer short-term stays, would be beneficial. Given its reputation as a cost-effective option, understanding their pricing structure and any potential variations based on the day of the week or events at the Fairgrounds would be helpful in planning a budget-friendly stay. It might also be worth asking about any specific policies regarding reservations and payment.
In conclusion, for local residents and tourists seeking an affordable and centrally located "camping near me" option in Nashville, Fairgrounds RV provides a budget-friendly solution with full hookup services and unparalleled access to downtown attractions. While potential drawbacks include noise from the nearby speedway on weekends and potentially tight parking spaces without room for awnings or grills, its cost-effectiveness and convenience for exploring Nashville make it a compelling choice for short-term RV stays. It is recommended to contact Fairgrounds RV directly at (615) 862-8980 or +1 615-862-8980 to inquire about current rates, availability, and any specific concerns regarding site sizes and noise levels before making a reservation for your Nashville adventure.

Without question, this is the most cost effective short term RV stay in Nashville. It's priced 1/2 what is typically found in the outer perimeter and there are no permanent residents. There is no room between parking spots for awnings or grills but there is room to open your slides. It has full hookups City water, 30&50 amp AC service, 4 inch sewer connection and if you want to be in downtown Nashville close to everything, this is the place to setup. Weekends can get noisy with race cars so if you are early to bed and are a light sleeper this won't work. The spots will accommodate a 40 ft RV.
May 19, 2018 · Don FrancisThe Nashville Fairgrounds Raceway is a great place. The racing is cool. The Farigrounds themselves has a great place for the fleamarket every month.
Jul 30, 2023 · Mike HardmanDrove through and decided a Wal-Mart or Cracker Barrel would be better, but in the end landed at Anderson Rd Recreation Area for $20 and it was phenomenal. Called every number given by the fairgrounds and they all had messages that led you in one big circle and never got any answers. Lots of trash and appeared to be some long-term residents there.
Sep 29, 2020 · Cary BMet the needs. Nothing fancy but helped us to be able to park and take an uber into Nashville for the hockey game. Kind of a high price for a piece of unlevel ground. Met nice people there.
Oct 15, 2018 · v tTheir web site says RV spaces are ONLY available to vendors and event attendees. Not open for The general public.
