Nashville Shores Lakeside Resort

4001 Bell Rd, Hermitage, TN 37076, USA

4.0
This is a very nice park, good size shady spots along the lake. The only thing I didn't realize when booking was the fact that they do not have a pool just for the campground, soooo.... since they are adjacent to their big Waterpark, there's no swimming until Memorial Day-Sept. Look, it's hot up here in April/early May so we were disappointed. Also, get some kind of wifi because theirs suck! It's like, it does good up until 5/5:30 then it just keeps disconnecting so for 3 days a - Debbie McQueen

Nashville Shores Lakeside Resort Introduce

For local residents in and around Hermitage, Tennessee, seeking a "camping near me" experience with lakeside views and access to recreational amenities, Nashville Shores Lakeside Resort, located at 4001 Bell Rd, Hermitage, TN 37076, USA, offers a unique option. Situated on the shores of Percy Priest Lake and adjacent to the Nashville Shores Waterpark and Adventure Park, this resort provides a blend of natural beauty and entertainment. However, as highlighted by customer reviews, there are specific aspects regarding amenities and site conditions that local users should consider when planning their visit.

The environment of Nashville Shores Lakeside Resort is a significant draw, with many campsites offering good-sized, shady spots directly along the lake. The beautiful lake views, particularly from premium waterfront XL sites, are consistently praised, providing a scenic backdrop for a relaxing camping experience. The resort's location on Percy Priest Lake offers the potential for various lakeside activities, although direct swimming access from the campground is limited to the period when the adjacent waterpark is open (Memorial Day to September). This lack of a dedicated campground pool was a point of disappointment for some early-season visitors. The presence of mature trees in some areas provides welcome shade, enhancing the comfort of the campsites, especially during the warmer months. The overall environment is one that combines the tranquility of a lakeside setting with the buzz of a nearby recreational complex. Local users seeking waterfront camping with scenic views will likely find the environment appealing, provided they are aware of the swimming limitations outside the waterpark's operating season.

In terms of services, Nashville Shores Lakeside Resort offers a range of amenities, but customer reviews point out some areas for improvement. The staff is generally described as good. While there isn't a dedicated pool for campground guests, a significant feature is the discounted access to the adjacent Nashville Shores Waterpark and Adventure Park, which many reviewers suggest provides good value for the overall cost. For RVers, the resort offers electric hookups (specific amperage not detailed in the reviews) and water hookups at the sites. However, a notable absence is a sewer hookup, which might be a consideration for longer stays or those preferring full hookups. One reviewer with a 46-foot fifth wheel noted that even on a premium XL waterfront site, space was limited, and parking on the grass is not permitted. This suggests that while some sites are labeled as extra-large, they might still be tight for very large rigs. The availability and reliability of Wi-Fi appear to be an issue, with one reviewer describing it as poor, especially during peak evening hours. It is advisable for local users who rely on internet connectivity to have alternative plans. Directions for entering the park, specifically emphasizing the use of Bell Rd, are provided upon booking, which is a helpful service to avoid navigation issues.

The features of Nashville Shores Lakeside Resort are primarily centered around its waterfront location and the discounted access to the entertainment facilities. The premium waterfront XL sites offer beautiful lake views, which is a major draw for many campers. The availability of shady spots is another positive feature, especially during the hot Tennessee summers. The close proximity to the Nashville Shores Waterpark and Adventure Park is a unique feature, providing entertainment options for families and thrill-seekers. The discounted admission to these parks for campground guests adds value to the stay. However, potential guests with large RVs should be aware of the potential space limitations on even the extra-large sites and the presence of obstacles like a rock fence post near the turnaround on some premium XL waterfront sites, as mentioned by a reviewer on Site #30. The advice from other reviewers to consider pull-through sites for big rigs, even if it means sacrificing a waterfront view, is a crucial feature to note for those with larger vehicles. The lake itself offers opportunities for boating and fishing, although specific details about access points and regulations from the campground are not provided in the reviews. The lack of a dedicated campground pool and the unreliable Wi-Fi are features that some local users might find less appealing.

Promotional information is not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews. However, the recurring mention of discounted access to the Nashville Shores Waterpark and Adventure Park for campground guests acts as a significant promotional feature. This bundled offering suggests that the overall cost of staying at the Lakeside Resort might be justified for those planning to take advantage of the amusement facilities. Local users interested in this aspect should inquire about the specifics of the discount and the operating schedule of the waterpark and adventure park, especially if their visit falls outside the peak summer season. It would also be prudent to check the Nashville Shores website or contact the resort directly at (615) 889-7050 or +1 615-889-7050 for any seasonal promotions, package deals, or discounts for local residents. Given the price point mentioned by one reviewer as "expensive for the condition of the park" (excluding the waterpark/adventure park access), understanding the full value proposition, including any available promotions, is essential for local users to make an informed decision.

For local residents in the Hermitage and Nashville areas seeking a "camping near me" experience with waterfront views and the added benefit of discounted access to a waterpark and adventure park, Nashville Shores Lakeside Resort offers a unique package. The shady lakeside spots and beautiful views are significant attractions. However, potential guests should be aware of the limitations regarding swimming outside the waterpark's operating season, the reported issues with Wi-Fi, and the potential space constraints for large RVs on even the extra-large sites. The discounted access to the entertainment parks adds considerable value for those planning to utilize these facilities. Local users are encouraged to contact the resort directly to inquire about specific site details, Wi-Fi improvements, and any current promotions to ensure their stay meets their expectations and provides good value for their money. Despite some drawbacks mentioned in the reviews, the combination of a lakeside setting and recreational access makes Nashville Shores a noteworthy option for a local camping getaway.

In conclusion, Nashville Shores Lakeside Resort offers a compelling "camping near me" option for Hermitage and Nashville residents, primarily due to its picturesque location on Percy Priest Lake and the discounted access to the adjacent waterpark and adventure park. While the environment boasts beautiful lake views and shady spots, potential campers should be mindful of the seasonal swimming limitations, the reported unreliable Wi-Fi, and the potential challenges for large RVs on some sites. Local users are advised to weigh the benefits of the waterfront location and entertainment access against the noted drawbacks and to contact the resort directly for the most current information on site availability, amenities, and any promotional offers to make an informed decision for their local camping experience.
