Flint Creek Water Park Introduce
Are you a local resident searching for "camping near me" in the Wiggins, Mississippi area? Flint Creek Water Park, located at 1216 Parkway Dr, Wiggins, MS 39577, USA, could be an excellent option for your next outdoor getaway. This destination appears to be a popular choice for families and individuals alike, offering a blend of natural beauty and recreational opportunities. Based on recent customer feedback, Flint Creek Water Park provides affordable accommodation options and a generally positive experience, making it a place worth considering for your local camping needs.
One of the unique features highlighted in the reviews is the availability of bunkhouses for rent. According to one guest, the bunkhouses offer a "beautiful view" and are priced at an attractive rate of "$70 a night." This affordability, coupled with scenic surroundings, makes it a potentially budget-friendly option for those seeking a comfortable stay without traditional tent camping. The bunkhouses seem to be equipped with practical amenities, as mentioned by the reviewer who stayed in bunkhouse #1. These include a "great heating system," a TV, a stove, a microwave, a fridge, and a full bathroom, providing many of the comforts of home while enjoying the outdoors.
However, the same reviewer also pointed out some areas where the bunkhouses could use improvement. Specifically, they noted that in bunkhouse #1, the hot water smelled like "rotten eggs," preventing them from showering. They also mentioned issues such as "flooring is coming up, rust behind stove, needs a new paint job and holes in bathroom door." While acknowledging these maintenance needs, the reviewer still concluded with a strong positive sentiment, stating, "I will definitely stay again!! Overall a great experience and definitely recommend!" This suggests that despite some upkeep issues in at least one of the bunkhouses, the overall appeal of Flint Creek Water Park, including its affordability and views, outweighs these drawbacks for many visitors.
Another long-time visitor expressed their love for the park, mentioning that their family comes camping here every year for spring break and the summer, consistently having a "blast." This speaks to the park's enduring appeal and its suitability for repeated family vacations. The reviewer also noted positive developments in the park's facilities, stating that "Management has really stepped up this year and last year and the bathrooms in Mohawk and Seneca look even better with their new features." This indicates an ongoing effort to improve and maintain the park's amenities, which is a positive sign for future visitors.
Despite the overwhelmingly positive experiences, one recurring concern mentioned by the returning visitor involves some of the park rangers. They expressed a feeling of being targeted by certain rangers and requested that they "chill out," suggesting that some rangers might have "anger issues." While this is a point of feedback regarding park management and staff interactions, the reviewer still recommends the place, urging others to "seriously consider taking your family to this place." This suggests that while there might be areas for improvement in staff interactions for some visitors, the overall environment and offerings of Flint Creek Water Park are still highly valued.
The same long-time visitor also provided a helpful "side note" regarding park rules: "if you have a golf cart or anything with four wheels, you must have a license to drive it, they will get you for not having one. No ticket or anything they just make you go back to your camp and get an adult to drive." This is important information for local users who might plan to bring such vehicles, ensuring they are aware of and comply with the park's regulations.
Based on these reviews, Flint Creek Water Park appears to offer a compelling "camping near me" option in Wiggins, MS. It boasts affordable bunkhouse rentals with potentially beautiful views and essential amenities. The park seems to be a popular destination for families, with at least some of the bathroom facilities having been recently upgraded. However, potential visitors should be aware that some of the accommodations, like bunkhouse #1, may have maintenance issues that are hopefully being addressed. Additionally, it's important to note the park's rules regarding the operation of golf carts and similar vehicles.
To get more detailed information about the campground's environment, other services, and any current promotional offers, local users are encouraged to contact Flint Creek Water Park directly at (601) 928-3051 or +1 601-928-3051. This direct communication will help you determine if Flint Creek Water Park is the perfect "camping near me" for your next local adventure.
In conclusion, Flint Creek Water Park offers an affordable camping experience with the option of bunkhouse rentals, praised for their views and included amenities. It's a beloved spot for families who return year after year, with ongoing improvements to facilities being noted. While some maintenance issues in certain accommodations and concerns about interactions with some park rangers have been mentioned, the overall sentiment remains positive, making it a place worth considering for your local camping needs. Just remember to inquire about the specific accommodation you're interested in and be aware of the park's rules regarding vehicle operation.

Flint Creek Water Park Reviews
I rented the bunk house for the weekend and it was a great stay with a beautiful view! The bunk houses are only $70 a night, which I feel like is a good price but they could use a little work. I stayed in bunk house #1 and I couldn’t shower because the hot water smelled like rotten eggs but this was only the problem with this cabin. I left a note and hopefully that will get fixed.Cons: The flooring is coming up, rust behind stove, needs a new paint job and holes in bathroom door.Pros: only $70, amazing view, great heating system, tv, stove, microwave, fridge and full bathroom.I will definitely stay again!! Overall a great experience and definitely recommend!
Dec 16, 2024 · Kate HopeI love this place so much. We come camping here every year for spring break and the summer and always have blast. Management has really stepped up this year and last year and the bathrooms in Mohawk and Seneca look even better with their new features. My only complaint is that some of the rangers like to target my family and we ask that they chill out, some of them just got anger issues. Other than that it’s a great place to go and seriously consider taking your family to this place. And a side note, if you have a golf cart or anything with four wheels, you must have a license to drive it, they will get you for not having one. No ticket or anything they just make you go back to your camp and get an adult to drive.
Apr 25, 2025 · jace herrinIt's one of the coastal Mississippi hidden treasures. You can swim, play disc golf in the beautiful scenery, or just do nothing and enjoy nature.
Feb 01, 2025 · El DragonThis campground is beautiful, there's a couple of things I did not see on their web page and when I called to reserve was not mentioned. The Waterpark is not included with the reservation and if you stay for multiple days like we did it can be costly because it will be a daily charge of $11 per person. They should mention that when you reserve! Bathrooms are not the best but they are clean each one has 1or 2 showers. No washers and dryers. I do not recommend the big beach area. The waterpark is great my kids had a great time there we will definetly be coming back.
Jun 09, 2024 · Keila QuilesWe held our family reunion in the Lakeview Lodge and stayed in cabin 3. It was so peaceful and clean. Bed was really hard but we just bought a topper from Walmart. The Lodge was clean and view was beautiful. Hopefully next year they will have replaced the couple of tables that were shakey. Posting pictures of the view from our living room. The kids loved fishing behind the cabin which was fun. I didn't get pictures of the Lodge from our reunion but I took these at another time we visited. We will definately be back next June.
