Storeyland RV Sites Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Cottage Hills, Illinois area, Storeyland RV Sites, located at 1000 Stanley Rd, Cottage Hills, IL 62018, USA, is one option that may appear in your search results. It is important to note that online reviews provide critical feedback regarding this location, particularly concerning management and maintenance.
According to customer reviews, Storeyland RV Sites is reportedly associated with "Enchanted Village" and suffers from what are described as "horrible, horrible management and maintenance." One reviewer, nearing the end of a one-year lease, expresses strong dissatisfaction and eagerness to leave. They claim the site is overpriced and poorly maintained. Specific issues encountered upon moving in allegedly included problems with the HVAC system, such as collapsing vents and inadequate heating and cooling. Additionally, the reviewer reports a complete sewer breakdown within the first week of residency and a significant problem with bugs. The management is described as being quick to issue notices for minor infractions, seemingly portraying care but allegedly primarily focused on levying fines rather than addressing significant maintenance issues.
Another review echoes the sentiment of being overpriced and highlights a reluctance by the management to address necessary repairs. This reviewer mentions being asked to pay for issues they believe should be the responsibility of the rental agreement. Both reviews strongly suggest a negative experience related to the upkeep of the property and the responsiveness of the management.
Given this overwhelmingly negative feedback from the available online reviews, it is crucial for anyone considering Storeyland RV Sites for their RV needs to be extremely cautious and conduct thorough due diligence. While the reviews do not provide specific details about the environment, services, and features, the context of the complaints can offer some insights and raise critical questions.
Environment: The reviews do not directly describe the physical environment of Storeyland RV Sites. However, the mention of "terribly taken care of" suggests a potentially unkempt or poorly maintained setting. The complaint about a sewer breakdown indicates potential issues with the infrastructure. The presence of a "terrible" bug problem could also detract significantly from the environment and overall living experience. Without further positive descriptions, the limited information points towards a potentially undesirable environment.
Services and Features: The reviews primarily focus on negative aspects of management and maintenance, offering little information about the intended services and features of Storeyland RV Sites. Typically, RV sites offer a range of amenities to accommodate travelers and long-term residents. These can include:
- RV Hookups: Essential for RVs, these typically include connections for electricity (various amperages), water, and sewer. The negative review mentioning a sewer breakdown raises concerns about the reliability of these basic services.
- Water and Sewer Services: Reliable access to water and functioning sewer systems are fundamental for RV living. The reported sewer issue suggests potential problems with this infrastructure.
- Electrical Hookups: RVs require electrical power for various appliances and systems. The reviews do not specify the type or reliability of electrical hookups at Storeyland RV Sites.
- Waste Disposal: Proper waste management is essential for any RV park. The reviews do not comment on the quality of this service.
- Grounds Maintenance: The description of being "terribly taken care of" implies a lack of adequate grounds maintenance, which could affect the overall appearance and usability of the site.
- Management: The reviews are highly critical of the management, describing them as "horrible" and primarily focused on fines rather than addressing maintenance concerns. This suggests potentially poor service and a lack of responsiveness to resident issues.
- Potential Additional Amenities: Depending on the RV park, there might be additional amenities such as restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, recreational areas, or security. The provided reviews do not mention any of these, and given the negative feedback on basic services and management, the quality or even existence of these extras would be questionable.
It is important to note that the lack of positive information and the strong negative claims in the reviews should prompt any potential visitor to seek detailed information directly from the management and, if possible, from other independent sources or by visiting the site in person to assess its condition.
Promotional Information: The provided information does not include any promotional offers for Storeyland RV Sites. Given the severely negative feedback regarding the site's condition and management, any potential promotions should be viewed with extreme caution. It would be prudent to prioritize verifying the actual living conditions and the responsiveness of the management over any advertised discounts or special offers.
Conclusion for Local Users Seeking RV Parks Near Me: If your search for "RV parks near me" in the Cottage Hills, IL area has led you to Storeyland RV Sites, it is imperative to be aware of the strongly negative experiences reported by online reviewers. The allegations of horrible management and maintenance, overpriced rates, unresolved infrastructure issues (such as HVAC and sewer problems), and a significant bug problem should give any prospective visitor serious pause. Before considering a stay at Storeyland RV Sites, it is strongly recommended to:
- Contact Management Directly: Inquire about the specific issues raised in the reviews and seek detailed information about their maintenance policies, pest control measures, and the overall condition of the RV sites and amenities.
- Visit the Site in Person: If possible, visit Storeyland RV Sites to independently assess its condition, cleanliness, and the state of the infrastructure.
- Seek Alternative Reviews: Look for reviews on other platforms to get a broader perspective on the experiences of past or current visitors.
- Consider Alternative RV Parks: Explore other RV parks in the Cottage Hills or surrounding areas that may have more positive feedback regarding management, maintenance, and overall quality.
The available information paints a concerning picture of Storeyland RV Sites. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" should carefully weigh the negative feedback and prioritize thorough investigation before making any decisions regarding this location to ensure a safe, comfortable, and satisfactory RV experience.

Storeyland RV Sites Reviews
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! They are a part of Enchanted Village and they have horrible, horrible management and maintenance. My 1 year lease is almost up and I cannot wait. They are overpriced, and terribly taken care of. We moved in here and there were problems with the hvac where vents would collapse, and it won't get cold.or hot. The sewer broke entirely a week into living here. And the bugs are terrible. The management will put a notice on your door for every little thing, portraying as if they actually care, but they don't. They just want to fine you.
