Four Seasons Family Camping Area Introduce
For local users searching for "camping near me" in the Naples, Maine area, Four Seasons Family Camping Area, located at 1741 Roosevelt Trail, Naples, ME 04055, USA, offers a lakefront setting with a range of amenities. Based on recent customer reviews, experiences at this campground can vary, with notable positives alongside some areas for potential consideration.
One reviewer who spent a week at Four Seasons Family Camping Area shared a balanced perspective, starting with the pros. A significant advantage is its location "on a beautiful lake with boat docks, clean water and a nice beach." This feature is a major draw for those who enjoy swimming, boating, and other lakeside activities. The convenience of a trash can at every site and "convenient" trash pickup was also appreciated. Additionally, the availability of an "outside sink for washing dishes at the bathroom" and the fact that "bathrooms were maintained daily" were noted as positives, indicating attention to basic hygiene and convenience.
The same reviewer also commended the "friendly staff," which is always a significant factor in a positive camping experience. However, their stay was somewhat marred by the condition of their specific campsite, #22 (and by extension, #23). They described it as a "muddy mess," attributing it partly to a wet summer but also to the lack of gravel or stones on these sites, unlike others that drained well. This issue significantly impacted their ability to enjoy their site, preventing them from having a fire or comfortably using the picnic table, and causing discomfort for their dog. They also pointed out a lack of weed trimming around the edges of their site, contrasting with the neatly cut grassy field at the campground entrance. This feedback underscores the importance of the specific campsite assigned and suggests that site conditions can vary.
Another reviewer offered a more concise but generally positive impression, noting "grass, nice open space, not too busy mid-season." This paints a picture of a campground that offers a degree of openness and isn't overly crowded during the mid-season, which can be appealing to those seeking a more relaxed atmosphere for their "camping near me" experience.
This second reviewer also mentioned the proximity of trains, stating, "The trains are close, but that's good or bad depending on whether you like trains." This is an environmental factor that potential visitors should be aware of; if you are sensitive to train noise, this could be a drawback, while train enthusiasts might find it interesting. On a more universally positive note, they highlighted the beauty of the lake around sunset, describing "silvered water with the occasional pelican flapping by," suggesting a picturesque natural setting.
For RV campers, the campground appears to be accommodating. The reviewer with a 40-foot 5th wheel reported that they were accommodated with a "large space and 50-amp power." They also described the owners as "gracious," leading to a "very good experience overall." This positive feedback from an RV camper indicates that Four Seasons Family Camping Area can handle larger rigs and provides necessary electrical hookups.
This same RV camper was positive enough about their experience that they mentioned heading back for a family get-together, further attesting to the campground's suitability for groups and its overall appeal.

Four Seasons Family Camping Area Reviews
We spent a week here and I have mixed feelings about this campground. First the pros:-on a beautiful lake with boat docks, clean water and a nice beach-every site has a trash can and trash pick up was convenient-outside sink for washing dishes at the bathroom-bathrooms were maintained daily-friendly staffCons: Our site was a muddy mess! I realize that it has been a wet summer but site #22 (and 23) has no gravel or stones. The other people we were with had sites that drained as they should and even after a day of heavy rain, dried up nicely. This mud ruined our vacation week. We could not have a fire at our site or sit at our picnic table and our dog spent most of the week in the truck or pop up to avoid laying in the mud. Also, there is no weed trimming here. The grassy field in the beginning of the campground was cut neatly but the edges of our site were like a rain forest. The site may look fine from a distance but during set up and walking around it turned into a squishy mess! If we did not have the other sites of our family to go to, we would have packed up and left after day 3! So just be aware of this and be sure and ask about the site that you will be on! With a little site maintenance this could have been avoided.

Aug 12, 2013 · Jim BarberReally nice staff, friendly and helpful for our whole stay. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful spot to camp. The store is well stocked with basic necessities.
Jun 11, 2023 · Ray MarshThis place is a dump. Mostly seasonal. Campground is a muddy mess with piles of junk all around a plenty of decrepit trailers at the storage area. The campground is best avoided.
Jun 16, 2024 · Sandra HawkinsGreat campground. Long lake is a great lake and this campground has spacious sites alot bigger then most campgrounds. Mine had its own private dock which was perfect I could be right near my boat. Staff is very friendly and campground is very clean and surprisingly quiet every night. Will definitely be back next year.
