Fremont State Recreation Area Reviews
Stayed on the back older part. It is less busy. Lots of boats and people doing water stuff. Busy place in general.
Apr 15, 2025 · Patricia EganThe state lakes are a great place to go for walks. I enjoy entering the east gate and then walking on the north road. Oct is usually when then close off the road so there is no traffic. I walk my dog there as well.
Nov 12, 2024 · Nathan WilliamsJust got home from camping there for a week, its was so much fun. The only bad thing was one of our neighbors didnt have their dog on a leash it came running, jumped up on me, ran over all my stuff on the beach then went running onto our campsite.
Sep 12, 2022 · Brittany NelsenNice spot for seeing waterfowl, finding shells, fishing, or a picnic. I haven't used the campgrounds but they seem popular.
Jun 03, 2023 · R.E. MarshallYou could not pay me to come back here. We gave it a shot but this will not happen again. The ENTIRE yard is covered in stickers. Our poor dogs were covered in them. We had to try to make them go to the bathroom on the cement. Absolutely ridiculous. Our kids couldn’t walk around and enjoy the beach area. Why can’t the facility spray for them?? Also this body of water is far too small of speed boats and jet skis to be riding around as fast as they do. Made it way too hard for our kids to swim. Because it is so small the jet skis came a little to close for comfort. We will never come here again I promise you this.
