Greene Hills Resort and Campground Reviews
Greene Hills campground is one of a kind in Central PA. Whether you’re coming in for Penn State games and festivities, Raystown boating, or to simply enjoy a peaceful getaway, Greene Hills is for you. Its just rural enough to make you feel like you took a step back into a peaceful oasis along the river, but close enough to restaurants and Penn State, that you’ll never be left without options and ideas. The campground has many amenities, including a clean bathhouse with hot showers, and a kids playground. But the highlight is the beautiful cabins situated right along the river, perfect for any occasion or celebration. You won’t find better staff and management than the campground manager, Elvin Lapp. We look forward to many more memories at Greene Hills Campground and resort.

Apr 16, 2025 · Andre MelansonExcellent campground. The location is great with hiking, biking, paddling, fishing, and lots of other outdoor activities in the area. If you are into paddling, you can paddle and fish down the Little Juniata right to the campsite. The campsite was quiet, relaxing, and family friendly. The facilities are good and they have a nice playground for the kids. We had a river front RV spot, so I can't review the pods or cabins, but we did check them out and they look like a great option for anyone without an RV or camper trailer. It is very clear that the new owners are investing a lot into making this a special destination. Wood and ice onsite, and they don't gouge with the prices. The manager, Elvin stopped by at the start of our stay to make sure we were getting settled in well, and stopped by at the end of our visit to see how things went. Overall, very happy with our stay here and will probably start using this campground for our annual camping weekend in the area instead of staying on Raystown.
Apr 29, 2025 · Bret MoreyPulled in spot 21 on the water with our 43ft class A, the spot had electric and water. New owners building up the place and the new cabins on the water look like a great option as well. Lots of fishing on the River. Close to the trains of East Broad Top, Altoona, Horseshoe Curve, and Everett. Everyone is super friendly.
Apr 20, 2025 · Danielle KWhat a beautiful campground nestled along The Little Juniata. We are so excited to bring our family here this summer to camp, fish, and float on the river. The cabins going in right beside the river are absolutely gorgeous. If you have family or friends where some like to camp but others prefer a cabin this will be your place! The new cabins are also perfect for a romantic little getaway.Elvin gave us a tour of the 200+ acres and his excitement to see this whole place come to life this spring was contagious. Add Greenhills Resort and Campground to your list of places to camp at this summer! You won’t be disappointed!
