Hawn State Park Campground

Hawn State Park, Park Dr, New Offenburg, MO 63670, USA

4.0
Quiet and clean campground, and easy to find. It's very important to reserve a spot online, as this is a popular park (I went in August). The online reservation system is easy to navigate. The spot I picked online was back in the corner and quiet, but there are sites with grass a couple spots over. Loved the trails, especially by the creek. Very important, tennis shoes, sandals, or flip flops will not be adequate for these trails. I bought hiking shoes the week before, and I'm thankful I had them. Definitely wear a deep woods off type of insect repellent if you're a favorite snack of mosquitoes or horse flies like I am. Also, the "dry" version of repellent I used was not as effective as the regular deep woods spray. In the pics, some of the trail is smooth, and other parts are very rocky. - David Fisher
