Lake Perry Campground was a pleasant surprise. This is a new campground with an added personal touch. The owner’s communication and hospitality were excellent. The owner brought us free firewood as needed. Which burned very well in the new fire pits. They are 55 gallon drums cut in half and work very well at radiating heat. On Saturday night there was a food truck with music and free Perrywackers provided by the owner. A Perrywacker is a delicious adult beverage created by the owner. It’s like a Bushwacker, but better. The owner also made pancakes on a griddle Sunday morning in the campground for us all. Each site had a set of stabilizer jack pads, a solar light (just bright enough), and full hookups. Our site was part gravel and part grass. It was a buddy site so we had plenty of room. The other sites, while smaller, looked adequate. The site was pretty level. I had to raise one side by only ¾ of an inch. Each site had 50, 30 and 20 amp receptables. We had no problems with the 30 amp service. The water pressure was very good. The sewer pipe was only about 5 inches off the ground, so not too high. There aren’t trees on the sites, but there are woods right next to them that provide shade for several hours in the morning. There are a couple of concerns, but by no means are they deal breakers.-You may need an extension for your electric/sewer/water hookups. On the back-in sites where I was camping, all the utilities are placed together closer to the front of the sites than the rear. I needed an extension for both the electric and sewer. The utilities on the pull-through sites were placed more in the middle though, which didn’t cause a problem for any of those campers that I noticed.-There are storage units nearby that have bright lights shining in the direction of the campground. This didn’t bother me like I thought it would though. Most of the light went over the top of the campground and there were still many stars visible.I did take advantage of a promotion the campground was running, but everything I mentioned should be available at any time. I believe some of the items are weekends only, like the pancakes and Perrywackers.Overall, I enjoyed camping here and will camp here again next season. I am looking forward to the new additions they have planned. Soon, they will be adding a bath/shower house, a large pavilion, a bar and kitchen, and a studio cabin. They also intend to lengthen the back-in sites and convert them to pull-through sites. - Tom Linhorst

Looking for the perfect camping experience near you? Look no further than Lake Perry Campground, a delightful and relatively new campground nestled at 14890 Hwy T, Perryville, MO 63775, USA. You can easily reach them at (314) 660-2833 or their mobile number, +1 314-660-2833, to plan your next outdoor adventure. Based on glowing reviews from fellow campers, Lake Perry Campground offers a unique blend of thoughtful amenities, welcoming hospitality, and a promising vision for the future.

From the moment you arrive, you'll notice the personal touch that sets Lake Perry Campground apart. Multiple reviewers have highlighted the exceptional communication and hospitality of the owner. Imagine being greeted with such warmth that you immediately feel at home in the great outdoors. One of the standout gestures mentioned is the provision of free firewood, delivered as needed, perfect for enjoying cozy evenings around the campfire. The campground provides sturdy 55-gallon drum fire pits, ingeniously cut in half, which are reported to radiate heat effectively, ensuring those cooler nights are comfortable.

Adding to the unique charm of Lake Perry Campground are the special treats offered to guests. On at least one Saturday night, a food truck was present, accompanied by music, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. Perhaps even more memorable were the complimentary "Perrywackers," a signature adult beverage crafted by the owner, described as a superior version of a Bushwacker. Furthermore, demonstrating a commitment to guest satisfaction, the owner has been known to prepare pancakes on a griddle on Sunday mornings for all campers – a delightful and unexpected touch that fosters a sense of community among visitors.

The campsites themselves are well-equipped to meet your needs. Each site includes a thoughtful set of stabilizer jack pads, a solar light providing just the right amount of illumination, and full hookups. Many sites, like the one reviewed, feature a combination of gravel and grass, offering a practical and comfortable setup. While some back-in sites might feel cozier, they are described as adequate. Notably, the reviewed buddy site offered ample space. Campers will appreciate the levelness of the sites, with one reviewer only needing to adjust by a minimal amount. Each site is equipped with 50, 30, and 20 amp receptacles, ensuring compatibility for various RV and camping setups. The 30 amp service was reported to function without any issues, and the water pressure was excellent. The sewer pipe height, at approximately 5 inches off the ground, is something to be aware of but not a significant drawback.

While the campsites themselves don't have mature trees directly on them, the adjacent woods provide welcome shade during several hours of the morning. This allows you to enjoy the sunshine when desired and retreat to the coolness of the shade as the day progresses.

The reviews also mention a couple of minor points to consider. On the back-in sites, the utility hookups (electric, sewer, and water) are located closer to the front of the site. This might necessitate the use of extensions for your connections, as one reviewer noted needing extensions for both electric and sewer. However, this was not an issue for those in the pull-through sites, where the utilities were more centrally located. Additionally, the presence of nearby storage units results in some bright lights shining towards the campground. Despite this, the reviewer found it less bothersome than anticipated, with much of the light passing overhead, still allowing for stargazing.

Looking ahead, Lake Perry Campground has exciting plans for expansion and additional amenities. Future developments include a bath and shower house, a large pavilion, a bar and kitchen, and even a studio cabin. Furthermore, there are intentions to lengthen the back-in sites and convert them into pull-through sites, addressing one of the minor inconveniences mentioned in the reviews. These upcoming additions promise to enhance the overall camping experience even further.

For those seeking a pet-friendly camping option near you, Lake Perry Campground welcomes your furry companions. One enthusiastic reviewer shared their wonderful experience camping with their boyfriend's family, highlighting the fun they had and specifically mentioning that the campground is dog-friendly. The owner's continued acts of kindness, such as bringing firewood and making breakfast for all the campers, further solidify the welcoming and community-oriented atmosphere of Lake Perry Campground.

In summary, based on the overwhelmingly positive feedback, Lake Perry Campground offers a delightful and promising camping destination near you. The combination of well-equipped sites with full hookups, the exceptional hospitality of the owner (including unexpected perks like free firewood, unique beverages, and even breakfast!), and the exciting future developments make it a compelling choice for your next camping trip. While minor considerations like utility placement on some sites and nearby lights exist, they are clearly outweighed by the numerous positive aspects. If you're searching for a campground that offers more than just a place to park your RV or pitch your tent – a place with a personal touch and a welcoming community feel – Lake Perry Campground in Perryville, MO, is definitely worth considering. Don't hesitate to reach out and plan your visit!
