When planning a "camping near me" experience, understanding the environment, available services, and specific features of a campground is essential for a successful trip. Online reviews from fellow campers can offer valuable insights, providing a glimpse into what to expect. However, it's important to consider that these reviews represent individual experiences and may not reflect the entirety of what the campground offers.
One reviewer describes Hayden Fork Campground as a "beautiful place," noting their visit in the late spring before the official opening, during which they enjoyed the entire campground to themselves. This suggests that the natural setting of Hayden Fork Campground within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest is a significant draw, potentially offering stunning scenery and a sense of peaceful solitude, especially during the quieter periods before peak season.
However, another reviewer shares a starkly contrasting and highly negative experience. This review expresses extreme dissatisfaction, stating they would leave a "-5 stars" rating if possible. The primary complaint centers around an alleged interaction with the camp host. According to this reviewer, the camp host was "full of himself" and reportedly threatened to call the police on the reviewer's wife for simply inquiring about paying with a card, demanding cash within a five-minute timeframe. The reviewer further claims that they were pulled over by the police on their way home due to a report from the camp host alleging the wife was drunk, which the reviewer vehemently denies, stating that no alcohol was consumed at their campsite. This reviewer attributes what they describe as "one of the worst days of my life" to this encounter with the camp host, whom they characterize negatively and advise other campers to "watch out for him." The review also mentions an attempt to use a campsite payment app, which the reviewer suggests the camp host was unfamiliar with and responded to with a negative attitude.
These two reviews present a very polarized view of Hayden Fork Campground. While one highlights the natural beauty and potential for peacefulness, the other raises serious concerns about the behavior and professionalism of at least one individual associated with the campground management. This discrepancy underscores the importance of considering all available information and potentially seeking further insights before making a decision about camping at Hayden Fork.

The stark contrast in the provided reviews for Hayden Fork Campground highlights the importance of thorough research and potentially speaking directly with the campground management to address any concerns.
Promotional information is not provided in the reviews. However, the mention of the "beautiful place" and the opportunity to have it "all to ourselves" during the late spring before opening could be seen as an indication of the potential for a peaceful and scenic camping experience, especially during off-peak times. However, this must be balanced against the negative experience reported by another camper.
In conclusion, for local users searching for "camping near me" near Evanston, WY, Hayden Fork Campground offers a location within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest that at least one visitor found beautiful and peaceful. Hayden Fork Campground Reviews
Beautiful place! We went in the late spring before the camp opened and had the whole place to ourselves.
Jun 07, 2018 · Ceara NoblesI'd leave -5 stars if I could, camp host is full of himself, and told my wife she has 5 min to get cash or he's calling the cops, all my wife asked was if we could pay with card.. we got pulled over on our way home because of him to but of course all was good.. he told the cops my wife was drunk and there was no such thing.. camp host will ruin it for you if you're not careful. I have NEVER been in an altercation like this, and I've never had to deal with cops until this day. One of the worst days of my life. He has long hair in a pony tail and he's a coward watch out for him. P.S nobody drank any alcohol at my camp. We tried to use an app that let's you pay for campsites. He's just too old to know it's a thing and responds with an attitude if you ask him about it.
Aug 03, 2024 · USarmySoldier80#7 is definitely the best area to camp. Gorgeous spot by the river. Saw a moose around dawn, so definitely a good reason to keep your dog on leash! Facilities were clean and well kept as well. Highly recommend!
Jul 18, 2020 · Rachel BritoIf you ever get the chance to camp out here do it! Be prepared for chilly nights and stay aware of the weather (It's above 10.000 feet). But the hiking, fishing, sights are what you can't find at the lower altitudes. If you go prepared you will have the time of your life.
