When planning a "camping near me" trip, the environment, services, and features of a campground significantly influence the overall experience. Based on recent customer reviews for Beaver View Campground, it appears to offer a pleasant and serene setting characterized by ample shade and well-maintained facilities, though with some considerations regarding water availability and fishing directly at the campground.
One reviewer described Beaver View Campground as a "pretty campsite with lots of shade" and specifically highlighted the "very clean bathrooms." This suggests that the natural environment of the campground is aesthetically pleasing and offers relief from the sun, making it a potentially comfortable option during warmer months. The cleanliness of the restroom facilities is also a significant positive aspect for many campers.
This reviewer also noted that most campsites are located within a few minutes' walk of a creek that is described as "beautiful" but "doesn't have any good fishing." This indicates that while the presence of a creek enhances the scenic environment and may offer other benefits like the sound of running water or opportunities for wading, it might not be suitable for those specifically seeking fishing opportunities directly at their campsite. However, the review also points out that Mirror Lake, a known fishing destination, is about a 10-minute drive from Beaver View Campground, providing a relatively close alternative for anglers.
Another reviewer described Beaver View Campground as "nice" and made an interesting observation that it seems "a little forgotten by the administration," which they believe contributes to the campground's quiet atmosphere. This suggests that the campground might offer a more secluded and less crowded experience compared to more heavily managed or popular sites. This reviewer also echoed the sentiment about the "very clean bathrooms," reinforcing this as a notable positive feature.
A crucial piece of information provided by this second reviewer is that Beaver View Campground operates on a "first come, first serve" basis. This means that reservations are not typically accepted, and campers must arrive and secure an available site. This policy can be advantageous for those with flexible travel plans but may require arriving early, especially during peak season or weekends, to ensure a spot.
Finally, this reviewer mentioned that "the water is capped off." This is a significant piece of information for prospective campers, suggesting that potable water may not be readily available within the campground itself, or at least not at the time of this review. Campers planning to stay at Beaver View Campground should be prepared to bring their own water for drinking, cooking, and cleaning, or have a plan for obtaining water from an external source.
Based on these reviews, the environment of Beaver View Campground is characterized by its shady campsites and proximity to a beautiful creek. The overall atmosphere is described as quiet and potentially less crowded due to less intensive administration. However, the creek itself is not suitable for fishing, though Mirror Lake is a short drive away. A key service-related feature is the cleanliness of the bathrooms.
From the reviews, we can infer the following services and features at Beaver View Campground:
- Individual campsites with shade.
- Access to a nearby creek (not for fishing).
- Clean bathroom facilities.
- Operation on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Proximity to Mirror Lake (10-minute drive) for fishing.
- Apparent lack of readily available water within the campground (water is "capped off").
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. However, the description of a "pretty campsite with lots of shade" and "very clean bathrooms" can be seen as positive attributes that might attract campers seeking comfort and cleanliness. The quiet atmosphere, attributed to less administration, could also be a selling point for those wanting a more secluded experience. The proximity to Mirror Lake, a known fishing spot, indirectly promotes the campground's location within a recreationally rich area.
For local users searching for "camping near me" in the Wasatch Cache National Forest near Evanston, WY, Beaver View Campground offers a potentially appealing option if you value shade, cleanliness, and a quieter camping experience. The first-come, first-served policy requires flexibility in arrival. The lack of on-site water is a crucial factor to consider, necessitating campers to bring their own supply. While fishing is not available directly at the campground, the short drive to Mirror Lake provides a nearby alternative for anglers.
In conclusion, Beaver View Campground presents itself as a shaded and tranquil "camping near me" destination in the Wasatch Cache National Forest. The clean bathrooms are a notable amenity. However, prospective campers must be aware of the first-come, first-served policy and the apparent lack of readily available water within the campground. While the creek near the campsites is beautiful, it's not suitable for fishing, though Mirror Lake is conveniently located a short drive away. Contact them at (385) 273-1100 or +1 385-273-1100 for any further inquiries, keeping in mind the first-come, first-served nature of site availability.

Beaver View Campground Reviews
Pretty campsite with lots of shade and very clean bathrooms. Most sites are a few minute walk from a creek that is beautiful but doesn't have any good fishing. It's about a 10 minute drive from the site to mirror lake if you're looking to fish.

Sep 13, 2022 · Patricio QuintanaMy family has been camping here for a few years now that Sulphur is reservations only. We used to love it but it has gone down hill the past 3 years. There's no longer water within the campground, you have to drive to others if you want water. This year we dealt with 2 separate camp hosts. The one couple was great, friendly, and helpful. The other was an old man and he was GRUMPY and so rude. He came up to us as we were setting up camp demanding money saying he couldn't wait and refused a check even though their signage says checks accepted. Two days later he stopped one of us on the way to the bathroom at 7am accusing us of staying past the days we had paid for but that wasn't true. After checking his records and verifying he didn't bother to come back and apologize for his mistake or being rude.
