Hickory Ridge Family Campground Introduce
Attention local residents and those seeking a welcoming and family-oriented "camping near me" experience in Coventry, Rhode Island! Hickory Ridge Family Campground, located at 584 Victory Hwy, has garnered positive feedback for its lovely environment, friendly community, and caring management. Based on recent reviews, this campground offers a unique blend of seasonal living and vacation stays, although potential changes in their non-seasonal offerings warrant careful consideration for prospective short-term campers.
One long-term resident, who has resided at Hickory Ridge Family Campground for nearly two years, enthusiastically recommends it as both a place to live and vacation. Their positive experience highlights the friendly and polite nature of the guests, as well as the wonderful and caring attitude of the owners and management. This strong endorsement from a long-term resident speaks volumes about the sense of community and the positive living environment fostered within the campground. For those considering seasonal camping or potentially longer-term arrangements, Hickory Ridge Family Campground appears to offer a truly welcoming and supportive community.
Short-term visitors have also expressed their appreciation for Hickory Ridge Family Campground. One reviewer specifically mentioned loving their stay, highlighting the owner's exceptional accommodation, the cleanliness and quietness of the campground, and the refreshing pool, which was particularly welcome during warmer temperatures. These aspects – accommodating owner, clean and quiet environment, and a pool – are often key factors for those seeking a relaxing and enjoyable camping experience. The positive feedback underscores the campground's commitment to providing a pleasant stay for its guests.
However, a crucial piece of information shared by a recent visitor is that the current year (as of their review) was indicated as the last year for non-seasonal campers. This is a significant point for local users specifically searching for short-term "camping near me" options. While the review expresses hope for a future opportunity to become seasonal campers, it strongly suggests that availability for traditional short-term camping might be limited or no longer offered. Therefore, prospective non-seasonal campers should directly contact Hickory Ridge Family Campground to inquire about their current policies and availability for short-term stays.
Despite the potential limitations for non-seasonal campers, the positive attributes of Hickory Ridge Family Campground remain noteworthy. The emphasis on a friendly and polite community, coupled with caring management, suggests a well-run and welcoming environment for all who stay there. The cleanliness of the campground is another significant plus, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The presence of a pool is a valuable amenity, particularly during the warmer months, offering a refreshing way to relax and socialize.
The environment of Hickory Ridge Family Campground, while not extensively detailed in the provided reviews, is described as "lovely." This suggests a pleasant setting that residents and vacationers alike appreciate. Coventry, Rhode Island, is located in a generally rural area, so campers can likely expect a degree of natural beauty and a quieter atmosphere compared to more urban locations. The specific features of the campground's environment, such as the layout of campsites, the presence of trees or open spaces, and any specific natural attractions within or near the campground, would need to be confirmed through direct inquiry or further online research.
In terms of services and features, the reviews mention a pool and suggest well-maintained and clean grounds. The accommodating nature of the owner implies a willingness to assist guests and ensure a positive experience. For seasonal residents, the sense of community appears to be a significant feature. For short-term visitors (if still accommodated), the quiet and clean environment, along with the pool, would be key features. Further information regarding specific amenities such as restroom facilities, laundry, hookups for RVs (if applicable), fire pits, or picnic tables would require direct contact with the campground.
As the provided information does not include any specific promotional details, local users interested in staying at Hickory Ridge Family Campground, whether for a short-term visit (if still available) or for seasonal arrangements, should contact them directly at (401) 397-7474 or +1 401-397-7474 to inquire about current availability, rates, and any potential promotions for seasonal campers. Hickory Ridge Family Campground Reviews
Lovely place to live and vacation! I’ve resided here for nearly 2 years and absolutely love it here! The guests are friendly and polite; the owners and management are wonderful and caring. 100% recommend!
May 01, 2025 · Anthony Pimental-CoffuaWe loved our stay at this campground. The owner was extremely accommodating, the camp was clean and quiet. The pool was a very welcome treat as the temperature kept going up! We were saddened to hear that this is the last year for non-seasonal campers. When we are ready, we hope there will still be a spot for us to take that leap!
Jun 25, 2024 · Renee MoodyThis place is a mud pit. New owner is lost. Made reservations in January had reservation for a premium site arriving on a Saturday. Owner only works Min- Fri no late check in no nothing. Found a phone number for Tiny called him 30-45 mins later he shows up tried to put me in a 30 amp site. Finally found 1 pad with 50 amp drop. My wheels sank 8” in the soft stuff. After fighting to get into this one and only site Tiny offered to add some rock to firm up the pad Finally got my rig into the pad so very tight nearly couldn’t get into the pad. Almost took my ladder off getting out the gate. I would advise any camper to run the other way if you are considering staying at this place. Many campers are there appears they spend a great deal of their time in nothing the sun come up and the sun go down from the chairs under their awnings. I had a brief conversation with the lady that owns this place her excuse was I just bought this place. Told her she needs to add gravel to her pads and upgrade the electrical connections to 30-50 amps just to start.
