Hidden Pond Campground Introduce
For those in the Nottawa, Michigan area seeking a unique "camping near me" experience tailored for longer stays, Hidden Pond Campground, located at 60735 Nottawa Rd, Nottawa, MI 49075, offers a quiet, friendly, and well-maintained environment primarily focused on seasonal RV camping. You can reach them at (269) 467-8684 or their mobile number +1 269-467-8684 for inquiries, although it's important to note the campground's current operational model.
Based on customer reviews, Hidden Pond Campground has been appreciated as a "great place for families or couples to rv camp." The atmosphere is described as "quiet" and "friendly," suggesting a peaceful and welcoming community for those who choose to stay for an extended period. The campground is also noted to be "well maintained," indicating a commitment to providing a clean and pleasant environment for its seasonal residents. This focus on upkeep contributes to a positive "camping near me" experience for those who value a well-cared-for setting.
A significant feature of Hidden Pond Campground is its operational model. The reviews highlight that the lots are "rented on an annual basis only." This means that the campground functions primarily as a seasonal RV community, where individuals and families lease sites for the entire camping season. This model has several implications for the campground's environment. One notable benefit mentioned is the absence of "in and out traffic on weekends," which can often be a characteristic of campgrounds with a high turnover of short-term visitors. This lack of transient traffic contributes to the quiet and peaceful atmosphere appreciated by the seasonal residents.
Furthermore, the annual rental structure fosters a sense of community among the campers. As one reviewer noted, "you know your neighbors" in a seasonal setting. This creates an opportunity for building relationships and a stronger sense of belonging compared to campgrounds with primarily short-term stays. For those seeking a "camping near me" experience with a social and community aspect, Hidden Pond Campground's seasonal model might be particularly appealing.
The campground also appears to offer different types of locations within its grounds. One reviewer specifically mentioned enjoying "the private area set back from the road and traffic." This suggests that Hidden Pond Campground has designated areas that offer a greater sense of seclusion and tranquility, catering to those who prioritize privacy during their extended "camping near me" stay.
However, a crucial piece of information for local users seeking short-term "camping near me" is the recent shift in Hidden Pond Campground's operational model. A reviewer who had enjoyed a family reunion at the campground a few years prior attempted to book multiple sites for another reunion but was informed that they "only do seasonal sites now." This change in policy means that Hidden Pond Campground may no longer accommodate short-term or weekend campers looking for a brief "camping near me" getaway.
The same reviewer also noted that this information regarding the exclusive focus on seasonal sites was being posted on the campground's website. This indicates a clear shift in their business model towards long-term seasonal rentals. While this may be disappointing for those seeking short-term stays, it reinforces the nature of Hidden Pond Campground as a seasonal RV community.
The reviewer expressed their disappointment, as they were looking to book five or six sites for an annual family gathering. This highlights a potential drawback for those who had previously considered Hidden Pond Campground for group or family events requiring multiple short-term sites. The exclusive focus on seasonal rentals means that such short-term group bookings may no longer be feasible.
The reviewer also suggested that the campground should clearly state its seasonal-only policy on its website. Based on their subsequent observation, it appears that Hidden Pond Campground has indeed updated its website to reflect this change. This is important information for prospective campers searching for "camping near me" to be aware of upfront, to avoid any potential disappointment or wasted effort in trying to book short-term stays.
In conclusion, Hidden Pond Campground near Nottawa, Michigan, offers a quiet, friendly, and well-maintained environment that primarily functions as a seasonal RV community. It is an excellent choice for families and couples in the local area looking for a long-term "camping near me" experience with a strong sense of community and a peaceful atmosphere, particularly in the private areas set back from the road. However, it is crucial for local users seeking short-term or weekend camping options to be aware that Hidden Pond Campground currently focuses exclusively on annual site rentals and no longer accommodates short-term stays. Therefore, while it offers a unique and appealing long-term "camping near me" opportunity, it may not be suitable for those looking for occasional weekend getaways or short family reunions requiring multiple sites. Please contact them at (269) 467-8684 to confirm any details regarding seasonal site availability and policies.

Hidden Pond Campground Reviews
Great place for families or couples to rv camp. Quiet, friendly and well maintained. Lots rented on annual basis only which means no in and out traffic on weekends and you know your neighbors. We enjoy the private area set back from the road and traffic.
Aug 18, 2017 · Kim WeberWe stayed there for a family reunion a few years back. We liked it so much that we were going to do it again. When we called we were informed that they only do seasonal sites now. I looked again this year and they are posting that on their site. Bummer for them, we were looking to have 5 or 6 sites a year.At least they could state it on their website.
