Holiday Pines Campground Introduce
For local residents in Pennsylvania and those passing through the region seeking a 'camping near me' option, Holiday Pines Campground, located at 16 Pinetree Ln, Loganton, PA 17747, USA, offers a somewhat rustic camping experience. With contact numbers (570) 725-2267 and +1 570-725-2267, this campground has received mixed reviews, highlighting both the hospitality of its hosts and some of its limitations. Understanding these aspects can help local users determine if Holiday Pines Campground aligns with their needs for a nearby outdoor stay.
Loganton, Pennsylvania, is situated in Clinton County, in a more rural and potentially scenic part of the state. The environment surrounding Holiday Pines Campground is likely characterized by the natural beauty of central Pennsylvania, possibly including wooded areas and a quieter, more secluded setting. The name "Holiday Pines" suggests a landscape featuring pine trees, which could contribute to a pleasant and natural ambiance for campers. For local users seeking a campground away from more developed areas, Loganton might offer a peaceful retreat.
For those searching within the 'camping near me' category, Holiday Pines Campground presents itself as a local option, though its suitability might depend on the specific needs of the camper. One review from a traveler passing through noted that it was "not easy to access for a one nighter," suggesting that the campground's layout or check-in procedures might be more geared towards longer stays or require a bit more effort for a brief overnight stop. This is a crucial point for local users considering a quick camping trip.
The same reviewer described the campground as "quite rustic and a bit run down," indicating that the facilities might be basic and showing some signs of age or wear. They also mentioned the absence of staff upon arrival, requiring them to "just picked one an self parked," which could be a drawback for those expecting more guided assistance. Furthermore, the reviewer reported that "Wi-Fi is practically non existent," which is an important consideration for campers who rely on internet access during their travels.
On a more positive note, the same review highlighted a local gem in Loganton: "The town of Loganton has the best donut shop. Nan's." While not directly related to the campground itself, this local recommendation might be of interest to those staying at Holiday Pines and looking to explore the nearby area.
In contrast, another reviewer shared a very positive experience, specifically praising the "very nice hosts!" They had reserved a "drive-thru site" and appreciated that the hosts "waited patiently for us to arrive just at closing time." This level of hospitality, especially for late arrivals, is a significant plus and suggests that the owners are accommodating and customer-focused. The reviewer, who was also on their way to Connecticut and only stayed one night, concluded by saying they "Would stay again for sure," indicating a satisfactory experience despite the brief stay.
The mention of a "drive-thru site" is a notable feature, particularly for those with RVs or trailers, as it allows for easier setup and departure without the need to back in. This convenience could be a significant advantage for local campers with such vehicles, especially for overnight stays or those who prefer a hassle-free setup.
Considering the limited information and the contrasting reviews, it's challenging to provide a comprehensive overview of the services and features at Holiday Pines Campground. Based on the "rustic" description, it's likely that the amenities are more basic, possibly including standard campsites with fire pits and picnic tables. The availability of drive-thru sites suggests that RVs are accommodated. The mention of Wi-Fi being "practically non existent" implies that internet access is not a reliable service offered.
The positive review about the hosts suggests that customer service, at least in some instances, is a strong point. The willingness to wait for late arrivals and provide drive-thru sites indicates an effort to accommodate guests. However, the lack of greeting and self-parking experience reported by another guest suggests that the level of service might vary or depend on the circumstances.
Given the limited positive features mentioned in the reviews – primarily the friendly hosts and the availability of drive-thru sites – promotional information aimed at local users might focus on the welcoming nature of the owners and the convenience of the drive-thru options for RVers and those seeking easy access. The potential for a quiet, rustic camping experience in the Loganton area could also be a selling point for those looking to get away from more developed campgrounds.
Local advertisements or online listings might highlight the campground as a "rustic retreat" with "friendly service" and "convenient drive-thru RV sites." The proximity to the natural beauty of central Pennsylvania could also be mentioned, encouraging local residents to explore the area. However, given the reported issues with accessibility for overnight stays and the unreliable Wi-Fi, it would be prudent for the campground to address these areas or at least be transparent about them in their promotions.
For local users considering Holiday Pines Campground, it would be wise to contact them directly at (570) 725-2267 or +1 570-725-2267 to inquire about site availability, check-in procedures, the condition of the facilities, and the reliability of Wi-Fi if it's a crucial factor. Asking about the best way to access the campground for different types of stays (overnight vs. longer) could also be helpful.
In conclusion, Holiday Pines Campground in Loganton, PA, offers a rustic camping experience with hosts who are described as very nice and accommodating by at least one reviewer. The availability of drive-thru sites is a convenient feature, particularly for RVers. However, potential local users should be aware that the campground has been described as a bit run down, and Wi-Fi is reportedly unreliable. For those seeking a basic, potentially quiet camping experience in the Loganton area with friendly service, Holiday Pines might be a viable option, but it's recommended to inquire further about the current conditions and services before making a reservation.

Apr 20, 2025 · Roger PhillipsVery nice hosts! Reserved us a drive-thru site and waited patiently for us to arrive just at closing time. Just stayed one night on our way to Connecticut. Would stay again for sure.
Oct 06, 2024 · Lee FevigWe just got done staying at the campsite and it was one of the best camping experiences I have had in a long time. The campsite itself is very quiet, which is amazing compared to other campsites I’ve stayed at. The pool, game room, and volleyball net offers fun for everyone! The bathrooms were well maintained and very nice. The office was very accommodating for my girlfriend when she visited the campsite throughout the day. The only thing I would say is the mini golf course wasn’t kept up with. But honestly it didn’t make any difference since we chose not to play during our time staying here. Overall our experience was very nice, and we will be back when we can!
Aug 14, 2023 · PoisonRadiant7Going on our second year as seasonal campers at Holiday Pines. We love the owners and their attentiveness to any needs. One of my favorite things about this small campground is just that.. it’s an older fashioned campground. If you’re looking for some peace and quiet to relax this is your place. Very easy to find. There are some great places nearby to check out on the weekends also that are just a short drive from the camp. Highly recommend. 😀
May 09, 2023 · Megan PfirmanGreat place for an overnight stop. This old campground is set in the forest. It’s a 2+ mile drive on good road after exiting I-80, but you can hear the drone of the interstate through the forest. The sites are larger than average. Propane is available. The bathhouse is dated, functional, and appears to be cleaned regularly but the stains of age make it look dirty. With full hook ups most visitors won’t use them anyway. The owner/manager Jaime is very accommodating and family oriented.
