Kalama Horse Camp Campground Reviews
This review is specific to the Toutle Trail and for hikers only..First of all, McBride Lake no longer exists. There is simply a sandy, dry hole where it used to be and no clear way to get down there.Second, this trail is tough and mostly because of the terrain. You might as well take a 9 mile stroll through the deep, soft sand at the coast. That being said, we only encountered one other hiker along the trail. All in all, not a favorite, would not do again, and likely would not recommend.Again, this is only specific to the Toutle Trail, whose trailhead happens to be within the Kalama Horse camp. The restroom within the camp was very clean, parking was easy and the guests I encountered were very friendly.
Aug 20, 2023 · Faye StantonThis place is beautiful in the snow. Took the family up here to not be so crowded while everyone was in search of fun snow areas. Make sure you have a discovery pass though so you don't get a ticket.
