Based on the available customer reviews, this campground provides clean facilities and a welcoming environment for both overnight rest and short-term camping. This introduction aims to detail the environment, services, and features of Kiwanis Club Campground based on the experiences shared by fellow travelers.
While the provided information does not include a phone number or website for direct contact, the customer reviews offer valuable insights into what visitors can expect at Kiwanis Club Campground. One reviewer described it as a "nice little surprise on a long drive!" This immediately sets a positive tone, suggesting that the campground is a welcome and unexpected find for travelers. The reviewer highlighted the facility's cleanliness, noting that it is "very clean," which is a significant factor for comfort and hygiene when camping.
A key feature mentioned is the flexibility it offers to travelers. According to the review, the campground "allows you to park overnight to rest if needed," catering to those on long journeys who require a safe and quiet place to stop and sleep. Furthermore, it also permits camping for a more extended period, with a stay limit of "up to 10 days." This makes it suitable for both short overnight stops and slightly longer camping stays for those exploring the area.
The amenities available at Kiwanis Club Campground include "picnic tables," with the reviewer noting that some are "sheltered" while others are "open." This provides options for campers to enjoy meals and gather, regardless of the weather. The presence of "plenty of space to allow the kiddos or pups run around to burn off some pent-up travel energy" is a significant advantage for families and those traveling with pets. This suggests an open and spacious environment where children and dogs can safely play and stretch their legs after being confined in a vehicle for an extended time.
Adding an interesting dimension to the campground is the provision of "some historical information as well." This suggests that the Kiwanis Club Campground offers more than just basic camping facilities; it provides an opportunity to learn about the local history, potentially enhancing the overall travel experience and offering a unique feature not typically found at all campgrounds.
It is important to note, as highlighted by the reviewer, that "This is not a state operated rest stop, so they appreciate donations, for which a box has been provided." This indicates that the campground is likely maintained through the generosity of its visitors. Travelers who appreciate the clean facilities and welcoming environment are encouraged to contribute to help ensure its continued operation and upkeep. The donation-based model often fosters a sense of community and shared responsibility among users.

Kiwanis Club Campground Reviews
A nice little surprise on a long drive! This little facility is very clean, and not only does it allow you to park overnight to rest if needed, but you may camp here for up to 10 days. There are picnic tables- some sheltered, some open- and plenty of space to allow the kiddos or pups run around to burn of some pent-up travel energy. They have also provided some historical information as well. This is not a state operated rest stop, so they appreciate donations, for which a box has been provided.
Sep 25, 2024 · Tracy BWhat a nice place to stop along our travels. The bathrooms were clean and the picnic tables were very convenient. The sign says you can stay up to 10 days.
Jun 25, 2024 · Michaelle SorlieFree, clean, and very well maintained campground (you can donate $ for maintenance). It has water to fill tank, across the street from a Co-op grocery store. Near airport but we saw 2 planes taking off in 2 days. It is by the highway but not an issue. Paved road and restrooms. For one night, it is the perfect stop.
Aug 03, 2021 · Matias AGreat place to spend a night or two while traveling. Clean restrooms, nice covers over tables and a grocery store across the street. The charges for staying is donations. Please pay to stay and keep this place going.
Jul 02, 2024 · Sandra PitcherGreat little place to pull off and get some sleep for the night. Surprisingly quite for being next to the road and airport. Restrooms were very clean.
