Lake Dunmore Kampersville Introduce
For local residents seeking a vibrant and amenity-rich "camping near me" experience in Vermont, Lake Dunmore Kampersville, located at 1457 Lake Dunmore Rd, Salisbury, VT 05769, USA, presents itself as a popular choice, particularly for families and those looking for an active camping environment. Situated near the scenic Lake Dunmore, this campground boasts a range of features and activities designed to cater to a diverse array of interests.
According to one enthusiastic reviewer, Lake Dunmore Kampersville is their "favorite place to camp in Vermont," citing its "adult and kid friendly atmosphere with so much to do." This positive feedback highlights the campground's appeal to a broad demographic, suggesting that it successfully balances the needs and interests of both adults and children. The reviewer specifically mentions a "beautiful private beach," indicating direct access to the pristine waters of Lake Dunmore, a significant draw for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying lakeside activities. The presence of "pools" further enhances the aquatic offerings, providing alternative options for recreation and relaxation.
The availability of "weekly activities" suggests a structured program of events and entertainment organized by the campground, fostering a sense of community and providing opportunities for social interaction among campers. Families with children will likely appreciate the "playground," offering a dedicated space for kids to play and burn off energy. The inclusion of recreational games like "corn hole" and "horseshoes" provides additional options for casual fun and friendly competition. Furthermore, the reviewer specifically commends the "updated bathrooms" for being "kept clean and stocked," which is a crucial aspect of any campground experience. Clean and well-maintained facilities contribute significantly to the overall comfort and satisfaction of campers, addressing a fundamental need for hygiene and convenience.
However, it is important to present a balanced perspective based on all available information. Another, more critical review provides a contrasting viewpoint, detailing a negative experience related to the handling of a guest incident and subsequent communication from the management. This review mentions concerns about inconsistent operation of facilities such as the "rec hall" and pool features, as well as the removal of benches near the playground and the condition of some campsites with "bolder rocks." While this review focuses on a specific situation and expresses dissatisfaction with the management's response and certain aspects of the campground, it provides valuable feedback that potential local users might consider alongside the positive comments.

Sep 04, 2024 · Jessica ChampneyI have been a camper for many years at Kampersville some weekends and full weeks we have been nothing but respectful to Holly . Last year my son showed up unannounced and dropped off he had a few beers at the campsite was completely fine. As the night went on he left we figured he knew others in the campground he's a adult I had enough grandchildren to be caring for he was not my concern where he was. It was a Saturday night so they were having a dj in the rec room something we don't attend my husband and myself and grandchildren went to bed I was woke up by people outside my camper I got up and it was my son with 2 gentleman 1 being security a young boy and the other was a boy that knew my son they told me he started trouble and was removed there was a security guard waiting at gate for police. I was nothing but kind to the gentleman and agreed to the police coming and removing him I did not agree at all with my sons actions. While waiting I put my son in our camper so there was no disturbance outside where other families were he ended up falling asleep on the couch I remained waiting for the officer to come 1.5 hrs later my phone rang it was the police asking of his where abouts I told him sleeping he asked if I thought he was going to remain sleeping I said I'm sure he's passed out he told me he was going to call Holly and let her know he was in the camper sleeping and see if she wanted to pursue with him coming out or just having him leave in the morning. Officer called back and stated he had to leave in the morning I said ok absolutely and I'll make sure he doesn't return meaning if we came back camping at all that summer. Sunday morning came and are week was over so we packed up and left never saw Holly no one like nothing even happened that afternoon I got a message which I kept all of them with her down grading not only my son our whole family and told us we were banned from her campground I was so disturbed by this because something that had nothing to do with all of us turned out to be everyone of us ..She is a horrible person that should be ashamed of herself as a business woman her campground a disgrace the whole week we were there the rec hall was closed Sunday Thursday but the money pit arcade was open 6:00 am till 9 or 10 at night. No activities for young children threw the week the squirter part off pool never ran nor the mushroom for the Littles. No more hay rides and when you take the kiddos to playground for a hour or two no where for adults to sit and watch there children the benches have all been removed. The campsites are never upgraded there's many sites that have bolder rocks on them so children need to be careful when running around there campsite not to fall and hit there head on a rock .Needless to say I have been a camper for many years and it was more of a convenience then anything so on to bigger and nicer campgrounds where they respect you and you respect them ...
Mar 16, 2025 · Kelly LowellWe have been coming to Kampersville for years! Great facilities. Friendly staff. The activities could be improved, they used to be very well thought out and timed wonderfully. No activities during the week it seems, all on the weekends.
Jul 19, 2023 · Gina pollockWe love camping here because there is lots to do with the grandchildren and the campground does a lot for campers like tie die and crafts and hay rides. There is more noise than a lot of people like because it is usually a completely full campground with hundreds of kids. We camped in our pop up thank qwqq because it rained all day Sunday so we had to spend the whole day in it watching movies and trying to keep a 10 month old baby occupied but other than the rain it was a great weekend.#makingmemories. #lovemyfamily
Jun 01, 2021 · Christopher DrummondI have been going here since I was very young. I have made many great memories here as a child and I hope to allow my child to make his own memories here too. We camp here multiple times a year each year. There are many things for kids to do each weekend and a lot of other activities around the area as well such as fishing, boating, biking and hiking.
