Lake Russell Campground Reviews
Price is too much for what it is. $32 is crazy! $15 would be good. Showers are cold and it is the button ones. You have to keep pressing a button to get the water to come out. There are nice campsite where you can see the lake. I would suggest touring the campsite before paying. I paid first and didn’t get a great spot.If the price was better it wouldn’t have been a decent stay.
Sep 19, 2024 · Vasilios Tryphonas IIIt's a National Park with camping amenities including hot showers. Beautiful lake and easy hiking trails.
Dec 27, 2024 · Peter ErbeleOn the day I visited with a 30ft Airstream, 2/3rds of the sites were empty. It was VERY quiet that night until the thunderstorm. So peaceful.NO POWER, WATER HOOKUPS.
Apr 22, 2024 · Barrett “Papaw” AbneyThis is an old campground. It isn't designed for larger campers. I have a 38ft motorhome and I could not get into the dump spot. It is well forested and has pretty views but your are size limited on ur camper.
Dec 01, 2023 · James CopelandWe are trying to do more primitive camping with our little camper, and this place is pretty nice for that sort of thing. We were there in mid-July for one night, so it was fairly warm. I guess with the time of year, it wasn't particularly busy, and that made it much nicer with some privacy. We stayed in site 27.The camp hostess was super nice and her rules are very forgiving. She seems to really care about keeping the campsites and bath houses clean. We came in a Wrangler and an 18 foot travel trailer. Most of the sites on Loop B would accommodate our setup. About half of the sites had very nice, level parking/setup. There are tables and fire rings at each site. There appears to be activities one could enjoy during extended stays, like hiking, canoeing, and fishing around the lake. With our short trip, we didn't do anything other than take the dogs for a quick walk. The main reason for the 4-star is that the bath house that we were closest to was closed. Seems there was some vandalism that deemed it inoperable. However, it wasn't too much farther to walk to the next one.We drove through Loop A on the way out, and it seems this is geared more toward the tent camper. A couple we're big enough for a small camper, but Loop B is better for this.Oh yeah, this place also has one of the nicest dump stations we've used. Nothing fancy, but there's room for two vehicles at once going in opposite directions.
