Laurel Fork Campground Reviews
We didn’t stay at the campground, but we did park there to access the Laurel Fork Trail. It was a nice backpacking outing for my teenage daughter and her friend. A few parking spots at the trailhead in the back of the campground. Vaulted toilet and trash available at the trailhead. Nice, lightly used trail with several established sites along the way to use. I think it’s a good beginners backpacking spot.

Aug 18, 2019 · Jon HendersonThis used to be a great place to get away. Quiet, secluded. Now its full of RV's and generators that run all night long. It's become a horrible place. Terrible "weekend" camping trip. I won't ever be back. The glampers can have it. I want to add that a person cannot reserve a site. It is posted you HAVE TO occupy your site within 30 minutes. Not 24 hours. It's a self pay campground. My husband and I worked so hard to get away, it was supposed to be a healing trip due to both of us losing a parent last year. We were verbally attacked and threatened over a site that had been vacant for 24 hours. That is not what we worked so hard for. The glampers can have it. I'm done.
May 29, 2023 · Laura MerrittMy husband worked in the area for a week so we decided to try this campground out and see how it worked. We have a F450 and towed a 44 ft 5th wheel. It took some time to get to the campground but it wasn't impossible. The last mile was a little rough gravel road but nothing we didnt expect in the middle of nowhere in WV. There was a small fee to stay. Nice private grounds. Not many spots for a 44ft trailer but you get a fire pit and a picnic table. Definitely a good remote spot
