Sep 15, 2024 · Martin LarochelleThe views are outstanding. So easily accessible. Many campsites that offer this kind of view doesn’t allow easy access. The sites are spaced out well with plenty of room and there is a nearby trail to go for a bike ride or walk. We loved it!
Nov 22, 2021 · Laura BrentonWARNING- DO NOT follow Google Maps the last half mile. From 608, turn on to Aldengate Dr. Follow bright yellow signs for River's Edge on Park Dr.Only 6 sites, RVs only, perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the New River. Awesome views, full hookups, spacious, open sites, good water, and trash. Gravel road and sites. From the park, there is access to the New River Trail down a long, steep, two track. But for biking access, you will probably want to drive 6 miles to the nearest trailhead. NOTE: St Pk Trail charges $7/day parking fee, cash or charge card.
Oct 12, 2020 · Bernadette DeVriesWe spent a month here while house hunting. The views are fabulous, the hosts accommodating and very friendly. Wildlife visit the grounds often. We had a game cam set up and got pictures of deer and rabbits visiting at all times of the day when it was quiet. Also had a bear leave muddy paw prints on the back of our cargo trailer. If you are considering staying here I believe you will enjoy it. It is a short drive to the New River with boat ramps and tubing places nearby. This is not for "glam camping" as there is no Internet available unless you bring your own tech, but if you're camping why do you need Internet? Best camp we have stayed at, bar none, in all of our years of camping.
Sep 19, 2021 · Paul DubuqueBreathtaking view. Enjoyed our night here testing out our new tear drop. We will definitely be back. We were the only ones on site. The wildlife us very active and friendly. The convenience of being by the new river trail brought us here, but the unforgettable sunset at dinner is what will bring us back again and again. A little piece of heaven, thanks for sharing.
