Great park with amazing amenities. The lots are big enough for an RV and tent with space to set up and eat. Perfect for families or folks who like to hike or bike. The trails were clear even after Helene. There are also historical sites located at the park that gives more insight into the significance of the preservation of the area. Can’t wait to go back.
Oct 25, 2024 · Dionte WilderGreat hidden gem. We went to see the effigy but was very surprise at how much this park area has to offer. From archery targets, trails, educational placards, great wildlife, to a great viewing tower. Past the Rock Hawk effigy, you pay a nominal fee you can enter the adjacent park with picnic areas, grills, swimming and bathrooms. Camping and even a boat ramp are available for an additional fee.
Jan 18, 2020 · Simon RobsonHave not had the chance to camp here yet. We camped at a neighboring campground, but came by here for a visit. The place was beautiful and the trails were wonderful. We took the orange trail and walked about 5 miles. It was beautiful all through there and clean. Also met the staff while looking at the campsites. They were so helpful and nice. Will be back after their renovations to camp at this gem.
Oct 11, 2020 · Jessica EstesWell maintained archery range. Addition of benches and/or tables would be helpful for archery equipment to sit on.
Jun 09, 2024 · Susan EllicksonWe came from out of town for our son’s state shotgun competition and stayed the weekend. This campsite was wonderful! Everything was very clean. There are a few restroom/shower buildings. All of the campsites are easy to get into. There are several docks located around various campsites and the beach area was nice as well. The camp host is one of the nicest people you will meet. We are already looking into staying longer over the summer.
