While the campground is generally well-received, some reviewers offered specific advice. Leonard Harrison campground Reviews
Beautiful campsite right at the Grand Canyon of The East. The bathrooms and showers were super clean. All the sites were within a couple hundred feet of drinking water and the farthest walk to the bathroom was no more than 2 minutes. The sites came with a picnic table, a file ring with a grill, a trash bag hook, and a gravel lot you can drive and park a car in. Additional parking also in the lot. Bathroom and showers were super clean. They had a sink basin for dishes. The state park and hikes a a short walk away with beautiful views of the mountains, creeks to swim in and waterfalls. Rangers were really nice and helpful and they did rounds at night.
Aug 09, 2024 · George DiwanEveryone there was friendly so that's always a plus! Rangers were pleasant and happy to answer any questions we had. The campsites are a little on the small side and can have lot of rocks in some areas, so if you're planning to camp with a tent bring a hammer! Rangers do make rotations all night which is reassuring, but if you're a light sleeper bring earplugs. They do have restrooms that are kept CLEAN, and provide a shower for you as well. You can bring your animals but training on grounds is discouraged.
