Liberty Acres Campground & RV Park Introduce
For local users seeking a distinctive 'camping near me' experience that combines the outdoors with the charm of a working farm, Liberty Acres Campground & RV Park offers a unique destination in Liberty, North Carolina. Located at 8790 Sylvan Rd, Liberty, NC 27298, USA, and reachable by phone at (336) 264-1680 or mobile at +1 336-264-1680, this campground and RV park provides a welcoming environment for both short and long-term stays, notably accommodating older model RVs which can be a significant advantage for some travelers. Situated under the platform category of 'camping near me,' Liberty Acres stands out for its inclusive policies, included utilities, and the added attraction of a farm with a variety of animals and reptiles, promising a memorable experience for the whole family.
The environment surrounding Liberty Acres Campground & RV Park offers a blend of natural beauty and farm life. Located in Liberty, North Carolina, guests can expect a setting that provides a peaceful escape from urban areas. One long-term guest appreciated the "nice gravel road to walk down to the Zoo," indicating a proximity to wildlife and nature viewing opportunities. The presence of a farm on-site is a significant environmental feature, offering guests the chance to see "lots of animals" and "cool animals/reptiles," as mentioned by a delighted visitor whose son particularly enjoyed this aspect. This farm environment adds a unique and engaging dimension to the camping experience, especially for families with children. The provision of a fire pit and picnic table at each site encourages outdoor living and enjoyment of the natural surroundings.
The services and features at Liberty Acres Campground & RV Park are designed to provide a comfortable and convenient stay. For RVers, the inclusion of electric, water, sewer, and Wi-Fi in the site fees is a significant benefit, simplifying budgeting and ensuring essential utilities are readily available. The availability of both 50 and 30 amp hook-ups caters to a wide range of RV types. A notable and appreciated policy is that Liberty Acres is "one of the only places we could find that would allow an older model camper," making it an inclusive option for those with well-maintained but older RVs that might be turned away by other campgrounds. The Wi-Fi was generally reported as reliable, although one guest noted occasional interruptions due to an extension cord running under a neighboring camper. The provision of a fire pit and picnic table at each site further enhances the camping experience, offering dedicated spaces for outdoor cooking, dining, and relaxation.
While the overall experience at Liberty Acres seems positive, one long-term guest did point out a few areas for potential improvement. One concern was the price, which was perceived as "a bit steep considering other campgrounds in the area were much cheaper." This is an important factor for budget-conscious travelers to consider and potentially compare with other 'camping near me' options. Another significant issue reported was the lack of a bathhouse or portable bathrooms during a six-month stay. This absence created considerable inconvenience when water lines froze during cold temperatures, leaving guests without access to showers or bathrooms for two days. This is a crucial amenity, especially for longer stays or tent campers, and its absence should be a key consideration for potential visitors.
Another issue encountered by a long-term guest was a neighbor's habit of piling trash outside their camper, which took weeks to resolve despite complaints and required the guest to pick up the trash to protect their dogs. While seemingly an isolated incident, it highlights the importance of campground management in ensuring a clean and respectful environment for all guests. Additionally, the expansion of the campground halfway through one guest's stay resulted in "an unending wave of mud being tracked into our camper," causing ongoing cleanliness issues. While campground improvements are generally positive in the long run, the disruption and inconvenience to current guests during construction should be taken into account.
Despite these issues, the second reviewer had a fantastic experience, praising Allison for accommodating their concerns and making their stay memorable. The highlight for this family was the farm, with the son thoroughly enjoying seeing the animals and reptiles. This positive feedback, along with the first reviewer's intention to return in a few years to see improvements, suggests that Liberty Acres has significant potential and many appealing aspects, particularly the farm and the welcoming attitude towards guests.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. Local users interested in staying at Liberty Acres Campground & RV Park should contact them directly via the provided phone numbers to inquire about current rates, availability, and any special offers. Given the unique attraction of the farm and the inclusive policy towards older RVs, it might be worth asking about seasonal discounts, long-stay rates, or any packages that include farm-related activities. As the campground is undergoing expansion and aiming for improvements, future promotions might also be available. It is always advisable to book in advance, especially if planning a stay during peak seasons or holidays, to secure a spot and inquire about the latest amenities and services.
In conclusion, Liberty Acres Campground & RV Park offers a unique 'camping near me' experience in Liberty, NC, with the added charm of a farm featuring animals and reptiles. The inclusion of utilities for RVers, the welcoming of older RV models, and the presence of picnic tables and fire pits at each site are significant advantages. While some past guests have noted issues such as pricing, the absence of a bathhouse, neighborly concerns, and construction-related inconveniences, the positive feedback regarding the farm, friendly service, and accommodating staff suggests a campground with considerable appeal and a commitment to improvement. Local users looking for a camping adventure with a farm experience should contact Liberty Acres directly for the most current information and to plan their memorable stay.

Liberty Acres Campground & RV Park Reviews
Stayed for 6 months... Was a nice place to park our camper... One of the only places we could find that would allow an older model camper... Electric, water, sewer, and Wifi were included... 50 and 30 amp hook-ups available... Nice gravel road to walk down to the Zoo... Lots of animals to enjoy seeing... We made use of the fire pit and picnic table often.... The reason for 4 out of 5 stars would be the few issues we encountered... Starting with the price, it was a bit steep considering other campgrounds in the area were much cheaper... Also, there were no bathhouse or portable bathrooms while we stayed... Our water lines froze when it dipped into the cold temperatures one night... Without having a bath house, we were not able to shower or use the bathroom for 2 days... Our first few months, the neighbor continued to pile trash outside of their camper... We complained for weeks, We were constantly having to pick up their trash to make sure our dogs did not get into it... For the most part, the Wi-Fi was reliable... Accept when it was unplugged because the extension cord was ran under the neighboring camper and plugged into their power pole... The biggest issue we ran into was halfway through our stay, They decided to expand the campground and dig up all of the ground around our camper... This created an unending wave of mud being tracked into our camper... Our shoes were always covered in mud and our dogs were always bringing it inside... So overall, we had an amazing stay at this campground... Hopefully, they will continue to improve and make it a much nicer place to stay... We are going to check it out again in a few years...
Mar 04, 2025 · cornsnaketamerMy family and I had such a great time staying here at Liberty Acres. Allison made sure to accommodate any concerns we may have had and made our stay a memorable experience! The farm is such a awesome place to visit and my son enjoyed seeing all the cool animals/reptiles. We definitely look forward to coming back. If I could I would for sure give this place more than 5 stars. ☺️
