Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park™ Campground Asheboro NC Reviews
Our family stayed here for the 1st time for our son’s 6th birthday and to celebrate Easter! This campground was so nice and so much fun! The staff here truly made our trip! They were so kind and fun! They joined in on the fun they offered and were so personable with everyone! I have never experienced such a kind staff! They all seemed just as happy to be there as we were! We will definitely be coming back to enjoy the activities, jumping pillow, zippers, and the staff! The bathhouse near our camper site was the cleanest/nicest bathhouse I have experienced at a campground! Extra bonus the NC Zoo was a 7min drive! Thank you for the best Easter and birthday weekend!
Apr 21, 2025 · Lexi HopkinsI have to admit this past weekend was one of our best camping experiences! The owners and staff here are amazing!!! I cannot say enough to match how wonderful they made our experience. After being there not even a full day I noticed staff members calling our kids by name at the crafts and activities. They made them feel comfortable and at home. The crafts and activities were great. I loved how the staff even planned time to play games with the kids at the jump pillow, the zipper and GaGa Ball. Without the staff yes it still would be a great place to camp but the staff definitely make the experience amazing. I highly recommend camping here. Oh and the zoo is very close by. It is an amazing zoo if you’re looking for something to do while there.
Apr 18, 2025 · Jennifer BakerThis is our third time visiting this Yogi Bear. We enjoyed the bike trails and loved the convenience of being so close to them from our camp site. We liked the glow face painting, glow bracelet making, and coloring shirts with fabric markers. We went to Yogi Bear last year at Easter and unfortunately I have the same complaints again this year. The egg hunt had way too few eggs for the large amount of kids. My kids got hardly any eggs. I was hoping that they would learn from last year when that happened, but obviously not.My biggest irritation was the hay ride. My family stood at the front of the line and waited a good 20 minutes for the ride. When it was about time to get on, Augusta told us there was a sign up sheet and that those people would board the hay ride first. She told me it was on the app that you had to sign up. I showed her that it was not and she offered no apology. She let the people who signed up first get on first. Luckily, we were also able to get on the first ride, but she was very rude about it. I definitely feel like if you have an app that lists the activities, you need to make sure you include which ones require a sign up.
Apr 21, 2025 · Sara MillerI’ve lived in campgrounds for 3 years and this is by far one of the nicest in the USA! The sites are generous, incredibly clean, great camp staff and kid friendly. I am amazed that people complain that the pool is not open when on the website it says clearly it’s not open till May! We stayed in a cabin and it was very nice! Would absolutely come back! Cheers to Jellystone!
Apr 15, 2025 · Monica Jensenjust stayed the weekend again. been here numerous times. I read some of the other reviews and honestly I can poke holes in those complaints. we always enjoy our stay. I'm glad the campground isn't paved. it keeps the speed down and adds to the appeal. I'm not interested camping at a truck stop. staff? never had anything but a welcoming interaction with them. price? camping is entertainment and entertainment cost money. if my cost is $160 for a family of 4 for 2days. that sounds cheap. it cost me $100 round trip in gas, but you don't see me posting bad reviews at the gas pumps. thou i may have left a "i did that" joe biden magnet on the pump. this is one of our top favorite campgrounds. 5 stars. I pay more to board my dog. camping his hi value entertainment in my book.
