Love Valley Campground Introduce
For local users in North Carolina and those searching for "camping near me" in the vicinity of Statesville, Love Valley Campground, located at 135 Pless Ln, Statesville, NC 28625, USA, presents itself as a potentially picturesque camping destination. You can reach them at (704) 998-1087 or their mobile number, +1 704-998-1087, to inquire about reservations and current conditions. Based on the limited online feedback, the campground appears to offer a natural and possibly rustic camping experience, although recent reviews present contrasting perspectives that should be considered.
One reviewer describes Love Valley Campground as an "absolute diamond" and "absolutely beautiful," suggesting a potentially stunning natural environment. This positive comment hints at scenic surroundings that could include wooded areas, open spaces, or other attractive natural features typical of the North Carolina landscape. If this assessment holds true, campers might expect a visually appealing setting conducive to relaxation and outdoor enjoyment. However, specific details about the environment, such as proximity to water features, trail access, or the types of flora and fauna present, are not elaborated upon in the available reviews.
In terms of services and features, one notable piece of information from a review is that the campground is "currently in the process of upgrading the water and electricity to each campsite." This indicates an ongoing effort to enhance the infrastructure and provide more convenient amenities for campers. Once completed, these upgrades would likely make the campground more appealing to a wider range of campers, particularly those relying on RVs or who appreciate the convenience of on-site utilities. However, the timeline for these upgrades and the current availability of water and electricity at individual sites are not specified.
Another aspect mentioned in one of the reviews relates to a preference for a more traditional camping style, with the reviewer stating, "call me old fashioned i just post up between two trees!!" This suggests that Love Valley Campground may cater to a more rustic camping experience, potentially offering less developed campsites that emphasize a closer connection with nature. This could be appealing to tent campers who prefer a more primitive setting. However, it's unclear from the reviews whether developed campsites with specific amenities are currently available or will be available upon completion of the mentioned upgrades.
One significant feature that emerges from one of the reviews is the potential for horse camping. The reviewer mentions backing in to set up and offload their horse, indicating that Love Valley Campground may accommodate equestrian campers. If this is the case, it would be a notable feature for local horse owners seeking "horse camping North Carolina" options. However, the subsequent negative experience reported by the same reviewer regarding an interaction with the owner raises concerns about the welcomingness of the campground to this particular type of camper.
The stark contrast between the two substantive reviews is a crucial point to consider. While one reviewer found the campground "absolutely beautiful," the other reported an "extremely rude" encounter with the owner, leading them to leave immediately and advise others to "stay clear of this place and its owner." This significant discrepancy in experiences suggests that prospective campers may encounter varying levels of hospitality. It is important to approach this campground with an awareness of these conflicting reports.
Given the limited and contradictory nature of the online feedback, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive and definitively objective introduction to Love Valley Campground. The positive review highlights the potential for a beautiful environment and the ongoing upgrades to water and electricity as future benefits. The mention of a preference for "posting up between two trees" suggests a rustic camping option might be available. The potential for horse camping is also a notable aspect for a specific user group.
However, the negative review raises serious concerns about the owner's demeanor and the overall experience for at least one camper, particularly one traveling with a horse. This negative feedback cannot be ignored and presents a significant caveat for potential visitors. It underscores the importance of contacting the campground directly to inquire about current conditions, policies, and to get a sense of the management's approach to guests.
Without further information or more consistent reviews, it is difficult to ascertain the overall quality and reliability of Love Valley Campground. The ongoing upgrades to water and electricity are a positive sign for future improvements. The potential for a beautiful environment could be a significant draw. However, the reported negative interaction with the owner is a serious issue that prospective campers should be aware of.
Local users searching for "camping near me" in the Statesville area who are intrigued by the possibility of a beautiful and potentially rustic camping experience with ongoing amenity upgrades, and perhaps the option for horse camping, may want to consider contacting Love Valley Campground directly. It would be prudent to inquire about the status of the water and electricity upgrades, the policies regarding pets (especially horses), and to gauge the level of customer service they can expect. Due to the conflicting reviews, it would be wise to approach with cautious optimism and to prioritize clear communication with the campground management before making a reservation.
In conclusion, Love Valley Campground presents a mixed picture based on the limited information available. While it may offer a beautiful natural environment and is in the process of upgrading essential utilities, a significant negative review regarding the owner's behavior warrants careful consideration. Local users interested in this campground should weigh the potential benefits against the reported negative experience and are strongly advised to contact the campground directly for more information before making a decision about their "camping near me" options.

Mar 29, 2025 · ShaunI spoke to the daughter on the Monday before Easter weekend she was great. I made the reservation no problem. My buddy got there before I did I pulled in and was backing in to get set up and offload my horse and the mother ( owner ) starts yelling about a horse being in the campground we was trying to figure out what she was yelling about she continued to get more aggressive so I told him we would leave I wasn’t dealing with it. She yells and says if you don’t like it leave we did I don’t know where the good reviews came from but she is extremely rude I will advice everyone I talk to to stay clear of this place and its owner.
Apr 18, 2025 · Quade VaughtThis campground could be nice with a little work. It is easy parking but not private campsites. Close to love valley Town. However, there was no water at our site so we hooked on with our neighbor, that spigot leaked so bad people kept turning it off. There was no water pressure at the right side of the barn. I set a 16 minute timer to fill my horses water bucket up and it still wasn't full. Then the shower situation....... the showers are NICE. However the ones in the weight room had no water AT ALL when the riders came back and started using the barn hoses. (Didn't figure that out till I was naked🙄) decided to use the showers in the red house and that water was barely above cold AND THE DOOR DOESNT LOCK, also there is 2 showers and 1 toilet in 1 room with no partitions so idk what kind of party we r having in there🤣. Overall I would go back just would make sure I took my own water and shower situation. The lady over the place did seem like she was trying to update and fix things as they came up but it was a super full weekend.
