The services offered at a campground can significantly impact your experience. Based on the limited information, we can infer some aspects of their service. One reviewer specifically mentioned the helpfulness of an individual named Scott, noting his promptness in returning a call. This suggests that the staff at Midway Campground and RV Resort strive to be responsive and assist their guests. The presence of "RV Resort" in the name indicates that the campground likely offers amenities and hookups suitable for recreational vehicles, such as electrical, water, and sewer connections. However, the extent and quality of these services are not detailed in the provided reviews.
Features of a campground often cater to different types of travelers. One of the customer reviews highlighted that there seemed to be "lots of cool things to do for kids" and that it was a "great place if you have any." This suggests that Midway Campground and RV Resort may offer family-friendly features and activities, potentially including play areas or organized events for children. The reviewer also noted seeing "quite a few kids running around" who appeared to be long-term or extended-stay residents, indicating that the campground accommodates both short-term and longer-term stays.
However, it's important to consider all feedback when evaluating a campground. One reviewer expressed significant dissatisfaction with "deluxe cabin 1," describing it as "pretty scuzzy" with "ripped screens" and a dirty air conditioning filter. They also noted that the surroundings outside the cabin "looked like a garbage dump." This feedback raises concerns about the cleanliness and maintenance of at least one of the cabin accommodations and the overall upkeep of the campground's appearance.
Another reviewer echoed concerns about the cleanliness, stating that it "really looked like it could've been cleaned up a little better" and appeared "a little ran down maybe." This suggests that there might be inconsistencies in the maintenance and upkeep across the campground. This reviewer also corroborated the positive feedback regarding the staff, noting that the person they spoke with was "very helpful" and prompt. They also agreed that the campground seemed geared towards families with children.
Furthermore, the second reviewer mentioned that their 78-year-old mother chose not to stay, stating that it "didn't feel safe to her." This is a significant piece of feedback that potential guests, particularly seniors or those with safety concerns, should take into account. The reviewer concluded that the campground might not be ideal for the elderly and is "geared more towards families with kids."
Considering the available information, Midway Campground and RV Resort appears to be a campground that may offer a range of amenities for RV travelers and families with children. The staff seems to be helpful and responsive, which is a significant positive aspect of any service-oriented business. The potential for kid-friendly activities could make it an attractive option for families looking for a place where their children can be entertained.
However, the negative feedback regarding the cleanliness and maintenance of at least one of the cabins and the general appearance of the grounds is a serious concern. The comment about a guest feeling unsafe also warrants consideration. It's possible that the experiences of these reviewers are not representative of the entire campground or that improvements have been made since their stays. Nevertheless, potential visitors should be aware of these comments when making their decision.

Midway Campground and RV Resort Reviews
I feel terrible about giving it a 1 star, but deluxe cabin 1 was just that. It's certainly not deluxe, pretty scuzzy, ripped screens, the dirtiest ac filter I've ever seen, the surroundings outside looked like garbage dump. We were passing thru and don't particularly care to stay on hotels. Hence, we found this campground. Having said that, Scott was very helpful.
Mar 24, 2025 · Carrie DeMaio JohnsonHonestly, it really looked like it could've been cleaned up a little better. It just looked a little ran down maybe. Although the fellow i spoke with was very helpful. He even called me back after I left a message, a couple days later very prompt. It seemed like there was lots of cool things to do for kids. It's a great place if you have any. We saw quite a few kids running around that appeared to be long term or extended stay residents. My mother chose not to stay there saying it didn't feel safe to her and she's 78 years old. So I'd say not for the elderly and geared more towards families with kids.
Dec 10, 2024 · Shauna McGarryA very nice campgrounds, amenities included a pool, miniature golf, basketball court, and a giant bouncing bag. If you're into Halloween they have a haunted trail that will make you scream. Reasonable rates friendly people. The only reason I did a four star is because if you're in an RV bring your levelers you will need them.
Oct 24, 2024 · Melvin BurnsThis place was great, we had reservations for thousand trails up the road and place was a dump, came here and they were able to accommodate us for a week, very peaceful and quiet, will definitely be coming back
Mar 14, 2025 · Charlayne JustusVery convenient to I 40. Staff was very nice. Very nice pool and play area for children. Campsites are on a hill with lots of erosion problems. Road around the campground needs work and maintenance. There are lots of campsites that looks like they have year-round residence that are very trashy. With some major cleanup around the area, it could look very nice. We enjoyed our weekend there, but probably would not return just because of the atmosphere
