The environment of Maiden Rock Village Park is clearly a significant draw, with one reviewer exclaiming, "Wonderful views!" Another mentions the "beautiful view," indicating that the location offers appealing scenery. One camper even got up early to witness the sunrise, suggesting a picturesque setting for enjoying the natural beauty of the area. Adding to the environmental appeal is the observation of "bald eagles," which can be a special treat for nature enthusiasts visiting the park. In terms of services, Maiden Rock Village Park provides "electric hookups" for trailers and RVs, which is a significant convenience for those traveling with such vehicles. The payment system is noted as a "cash drop off area" with a fee of $15 per night, indicating a straightforward, self-service payment method. The park is described as "not too crowded" by one visitor, which could be appealing to those seeking a less congested camping experience, particularly during the week. However, it's mentioned that weekends can get busier.
A key feature of Maiden Rock Village Park, alongside its scenic views and wildlife, is the availability of electric hookups, catering to RV and trailer campers. The less crowded atmosphere, at least during the week, can also be seen as a positive feature for those seeking a more relaxed camping experience. The opportunity to see bald eagles adds a unique natural element to a stay here.
However, the reviews also highlight a notable potential drawback: noise from the nearby train tracks. One reviewer explicitly states that the train "goes off throughout the night every 2-3 hours." Another mentions the park being "definitely a bit noisy between trains and Harley Davidson motorcycles." This noise factor is important for potential campers to be aware of, especially those sensitive to nighttime disturbances. While the natural beauty compensates for some, it's a trade-off to consider.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. However, the emphasis on "wonderful views" and the mention of "bald eagles" implicitly promote the natural aspects of the park. Maiden Rock Village Park Reviews
Wonderful views! Cash drop off area $15 for the night. Not too crowded, however it’s stationed next to the train tracks which goes off throughout the night every 2-3 hours. Got up early to see the sunrise!
Sep 22, 2024 · Ailee NeumannNice place with electric ⚡ hookups for trailers/RV. Though definitely a bit noisy between trains and Harley Davidson motorcycles. However, the beautiful view and bald eagles made up for it.
Apr 26, 2025 · Kurt GuentherHad a great experience at this little park! I almost hesitate to review it because I appreciated that it wasn't overflowing with people. $15 cash/night for tent camping, $25 cash for a camper/RV with electric. Perfect for buggy days with the breeze right off the lake/river. Only subtracted a star to note that it's right next to the train tracks, so we did have significant noise throughout the night. My earplugs worked great and had no problem sleeping, but I could see the noise being a factor if I had forgotten ear protection.
Jun 18, 2023 · Ashley PetersAbsolutely gorgeous location. However the trains run about every 2-3 hrs. We’re so used to finding last minute camping places with trains - that it didn’t phase us too much. The view, price, electric was worth it.
Jul 05, 2022 · Rusted RoseWe stayed one here 6/22, everything in the area was full, Saturday, and there was plenty of spots, 50 amp, no water, right on the water though. Three port a potties and flat grassy area. The train runs real regularly but it didn’t bother us. In town and quiet. We will stay again. $25.
