Immerse Your Group in the Natural Beauty of Montgomery Bell State Park
Montgomery Bell State Park itself is described by visitors as "a beautiful state park," indicating a scenic and natural environment for outdoor activities and relaxation. As part of this larger park, Group Camp 1 benefits from the park's overall ambiance, which likely includes wooded areas, hiking trails, and access to lakes or other natural features. The park's environment provides a perfect backdrop for group adventures, nature walks, and enjoying the tranquility of Tennessee's outdoors. The mention of a "wonderful dock for fishing" in one review specifically highlights one of the recreational opportunities available within the park, likely accessible to guests of Group Camp 1.
The fact that one reviewer stayed in a "4 person cabin" suggests that Group Camp 1 offers cabin accommodations as one of its lodging options. This provides a more comfortable alternative to traditional tent camping, especially for groups that prefer shelter and beds. However, the reviewer also noted that the cabin was "hot inside" during their May visit, indicating that the cabins might not have air conditioning or that ventilation could be a factor during warmer months. Groups planning a stay during the hotter parts of the year should inquire about cooling options within the cabins.
The positive mention of "Ernest day was great!" accompanied by picture references (though not provided here) suggests that Montgomery Bell State Park, and by extension potentially Group Camp 1, hosts or facilitates special events or programs that groups might be able to participate in. This could be a valuable feature for groups looking to incorporate organized activities into their camping experience.

Montgomery Bell State Park Group Camp 1 is specifically designed to cater to the needs of larger groups. The mention of a "dinning hall" that was "perfect for cooking" is a significant feature, indicating a communal space equipped for meal preparation for a group. Based on the name "Group Camp 1" and the limited information from the reviews, we can infer that the facility likely offers services and features such as:
- Multiple Accommodation Options: Including cabins of various sizes (the review mentions a 4-person cabin) to house group members comfortably. The total capacity and variety of cabin sizes would need to be confirmed.
- Group Dining Facilities: The "dinning hall" suggests a large space with kitchen facilities suitable for preparing and serving meals to a group. Details about the kitchen equipment (e.g., stoves, refrigerators, serving areas) would be important for groups planning their meals.
- Communal Gathering Spaces: Beyond the dining hall, there might be other areas for group meetings, activities, or socializing.
- Restroom and Shower Facilities: Adequate to serve a larger number of guests. The quality and capacity of these facilities are not detailed in the reviews.
- Outdoor Recreational Areas: Access to the natural environment of Montgomery Bell State Park, including trails for hiking, open spaces for games, and potentially designated areas for group activities.
- Fishing Dock Access: As mentioned in a review, a "wonderful dock for fishing" is available, providing a recreational opportunity for group members who enjoy angling. Information on any associated fees or regulations would be beneficial.
- Parking for Multiple Vehicles: To accommodate the transportation needs of a group.
- Potential for Campfire Areas: A common feature in campgrounds, allowing for group gatherings around a fire (subject to park regulations).
To get a comprehensive list of all services and features available at Montgomery Bell State Park Group Camp 1, local users should contact the facility directly. Inquiring about the capacity of the dining hall, the types and sizes of cabins available, the extent of kitchen facilities, and any specific amenities for group activities would be particularly useful for planning a group camping trip.

Group camping rates often differ from individual campsite or cabin rentals and may be based on the size of the group, the number of cabins rented, the duration of stay, and the facilities used (e.g., dining hall). State parks sometimes have different fee structures for residents and non-residents.
Local users interested in booking Group Camp 1 for a group event will need to contact the facility directly at the provided phone numbers to inquire about availability and pricing.
