Sep 06, 2023 · WillBeautiful scenery, stunning sunsets. Normally I would rate this with 5 Stars but our last experience last week we had a terrible problem with ants getting in our camper. We put diatomaceous earth around everything that touched the ground but unfortunately we did it after the ants invaded. We were never able to get rid of them 100%.Also one of our neighbor campers, 2 sites over, played their music with lots of base so loud we could hear it inside our camper. We talked to a park employee at the entrance and he told us there was nothing he could do, you're allowed to play your music as loud as you want! We walked back to our campsite wondering how we were going to camp the next 4 days listening to loud music. Fortunately for us they only camped 1 day!!We camped for a week. There were quite a few empty campsites but according to reservations every site was booked. Must be lots of no shows. It would be nice if people would cancel their reservations if they can't make it, to give other people a chance to reserve the spot. All in all we enjoyed our camping experience and definitely come back.
Oct 17, 2022 · Jean RoodeMy wife and I stayed here during Covid and we were glad it was still open. Everything was great and the ranger made a special exception for us since we got there early. REMEMBER, check-in is 3pm and not 2pm like most others. The late check-in is because of the school getting out at 2pm. We won't make that mistake again, but the Ranger was really cool about it. We really enjoyed the electrical and water hook-ups too. It's great not hearing generators going all day charging up batteries.
