Mountain Top RV Park & Cabins Reviews
We stayed here for a month in April. Fantastic location! Centrally located to all kinds of things like Fayetteville, Charleston, several state and national parks, many stops on the WV Waterfall Trail and a lot more. Sites are very spacious and spread out. Incredible views.
Apr 22, 2025 · Andrew SandsI would give six stars if I could! This is a verry quiet campground. Picnic tables and fire pits for each site and they are well spaced. Full hookups as well as firewood available for purchase. Covered group area with barbecue grills as well.Acres and acres for you and your dog to hike and explore. Catch and release fishing pond and playground. There are two entrances, One is steep and one isn't. Be sure and ask for directions to the non-steep entrance when you make your reservations if you have a larger rig. They also have tent sites and storage. The fall foliage was absolutely gorgeous. Just a few minutes away from New River Gorge National Park and plenty of outdoor activities.Although there is no staff on site, or showers, they do regularly check on the facilities and there are restrooms. Extremely clean and well kept campground. They have decks with rocking chairs by the pond and tree swings as well.No road noise and secluded but literally 5 minutes from the freeway and stores. Be sure and stay here as you will not be disappointed. Best night sleep I've ever had. I would love to stay here forever if I could.
Oct 25, 2024 · A Divine CanineWe love camping here! It’s so quiet and peaceful. The view is beautiful and I always look forward to seeing Miss Daisy at my door. She is so sweet and loves everyone. The owner is super nice and the gentleman I met this past Friday 4-11-25 was a nice guy that lives there. We can’t wait to visit, again!
Apr 13, 2025 · Melissa BlankenshipMy wife and I came down for a friend's wedding. There are 2 entrance points and both provide easy access. We stayed at site 13 and it was perfect, we've got a 40' Montana 5th wheel with 6 slides, this site had ample room. Nice big fire pit, laundry room on site, picnic tables and a nice pond with a deck and chairs that overlook the property. There is plenty of room for kids and a play set here for them also. Easy drop box payment. I'll definitely be back at some point and spend a week in the area, lots of outdoor activities to do around the area. Also just about 0 light polution so if you want to stargaze it's perfect.
Oct 02, 2022 · J Bryan MynesThis appears to be a fairly new campground. The road to the campground is very steep and dusty. I almost had to put the truck in 4 wheel drive to get up. They roads and sites are made out of 2-3 inch stone. Very rough and hard on the feet. There's no office or check in instructions. You just drive in and figure it out. No instructions on how to pay or anything. There was a campground host on site and they were helpful in allowing us to swap sites since the one we reserved was not good for us.There's no map of the campground that shows site numbers to help you make reservations. I've uploaded an edited picture with site numbers to help future campers. There is a washer and dryer on site. There are no restrooms on site so you have to be self contained and use your own facilities. The spots were fairly nice and level. Nice views from most of the sites.Payment is cash or check only. We paid $40 a night. We camped at Mountain Top RV Park & Cabins in a Travel Trailer.
