MUSKEGON RIVER CAMPGROUND Reviews
I enjoyed my stay here. It was beautiful country. Nice places to walk to and the scenic view of the river was gorgeous. It was a nice and quiet stay, outside of some loud neighbors. Not the campsites fault. Just be good neighbors like the sign says and it will be a wonderful place to stay. I will be back and support this local and private owned campground and will tell others to come.Short drive to Fremont which has some really nice shops to visit.
Sep 04, 2024 · JasonThis is a cozy little campground tucked away down a dirt road near Fremont. It has a slightly rustic feel to it while providing the convenience of water/electric hookup. Several of the sites offer ample shade. They have bundles of wood for sale at a reasonable price. Camp host was very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are simple but functional. Plenty of hot water. Things to visit nearby include Amish produce stands, fishing, kayaking, and antique stores. Dollar General is just down the road in case you forgot any essentials. There is also a general store around the corner for hardware needs. Overall a pleasing jewel of a family campground. We will be back!
Aug 11, 2024 · Christi FoltsFirst time camping here! Walking trails, butterfly fields and fishing area's. It's a great location if your going to michigan adventures for the day, which we did and Grant is close by for swimming! The host was amazing very friendly and accommodating! Price is great and the shower house was clean. We will for sure be back! Playground for kids and you feel safe letting kids run and play in the campground.Very happy with our stay 5 stars!
Jun 17, 2024 · Libby BurroughsNice little campground. It only has 24 sites. The camp host was great. For a small campground, it's a little bit of a walk to the bathroom, but not farther than if you had to across a large campground to get to one.
Jul 26, 2024 · Shawn StarrA hidden gem in the woods. We were looking for peaceful, room to spread out. This is your place! We kayaked 2 days. The river is wide and slow. Good for floating too. There's electric and water. Freshly painted bathroom and shower house with hot water. A bit of a walk or ride your bike to get there faster. The lay of the land has great places to sit and watch the river or enjoy the woods with the turkey calling. Dog friendly. Awesome camp host and other kind family members willing to answer all questions. Kids will enjoy it too. Camp fire wood on site for purchase. We truly enjoyed our stay.
