Nahmakanta Lake Wilderness Camps Reviews
Truly magical place run by special people. We’ve been coming here for an annual fishing trip for 10+ years and look forward to it every year. Gorgeous hikes, amazing wildlife and great fishing in a remote and unspoiled wilderness location.
Mar 09, 2025 · Jay DelMonicoAbsolutely amazing place to go, and just be with nature. Don and Angel are fantastic human beings in every way, incredibly welcoming. Facilities are outstanding, your cabin has its own bathroom WITH A HEATER. Can't say enough good things about this place. Just got back and regret ever leaving. Thanks Don, Angel, and the rest of the crew!!!!
Sep 07, 2024 · Ian HirstThe camp, limited to just 9 cabins, is at the end of a 28 mile dirt logging road. A trip to town is a 100 mile round trip. Besides the usual benefits of a well run Maine fishing camp, we found the absence of electricity, internet, phone and media entirely refreshing. Don and Angel provide an exceptional experience. Not to mention that Angel serves a wicked good meal. If the above sounds like a good fit, we highly recommend this camp. If you simply have to be connected, or must have a range of entertainment or dining options, this is not a place for you. We plan to return for a longer stay in 2022.
Jul 06, 2021 · Jock GillMy wife and I needed a quick getaway so we opted for a weekend visit. It was our first time visiting Maine and easily one of the greatest times we have ever had. We spent the extra money for the full package and we were not disappointed. We will certainly be visiting again. The staff was great and beyond helpful. Food was plentiful and delicious. Just like momma used to make. The cabin was rustic and clean which added to the charm and ambience. Can’t wait until next time. Thank you both so much for a fantastic weekend!
Nov 06, 2019 · Pi-Stix Custom RodsIncredibly located within Maine’s famed 100 mile wilderness along side of the AT … comfortably rustic cabins … great food … and even better hosts … Don and Angel Hibbs are fabulous hosts who genuinely want you to have a comfortable stay and to enjoy all that the surrounding Musi e North Woods have to offer … Don has stashed canoes in many remote trout lakes for his guests to enjoy … making the hike to fish combo one of the best in all of Maine!
