The environment of North Gorge Campground appears to be quite appealing. One reviewer described it as a "perfect little escape," highlighting the opportunity for swimming, even if a traditional beach area isn't prominent. The mention of swimming "among the flowers" suggests a unique and possibly more natural water access point. For bird enthusiasts, the campground seems to be a haven, with a "lovely cross section of habitats" that attract a variety of bird species, particularly noted in July. Additionally, despite having a wetland corner downstream, the area was reported to be "not very buggy," which is often a welcome aspect for campers near water sources.
Another reviewer praised the "gorgeous campsites," noting that some are designed to accommodate both tents and RVs, indicating flexibility for different types of campers. For those planning group outings, some campsites are clustered together, facilitating a shared experience. Despite the proximity of some sites, the presence of "plenty of natural vegetation, elevation changes, and access to the lake" ensures both beauty and a degree of privacy for campers. Furthermore, some campsites are set back from paved parking areas, enhancing the feeling of being immersed in nature and escaping the "workaday world." The availability of "multiple boat launch ramps" indicates easy access to the lake for boating activities.
In terms of services, the presence of "latrines" is mentioned, suggesting basic restroom facilities are available. The multiple boat launch ramps are a significant service for those interested in boating on the lake. While the reviews don't explicitly detail other services like water hookups, electrical hookups, or dump stations (which would be relevant for RV campers), the combination of tent and RV-friendly sites suggests that at least some level of infrastructure to support RVs might be present. To get a comprehensive list of available services, especially for RVs, contacting the campground directly is recommended.
The features of North Gorge Campground are noteworthy. The diverse habitats that attract a variety of bird species are a significant feature for nature lovers and birdwatchers. The lake access provides opportunities for swimming and boating. The variety in campsite design, accommodating both tents and RVs, and the clustering of some sites for groups, cater to different camping preferences. The natural vegetation and elevation changes within the campsites contribute to a more aesthetically pleasing and private experience. The option to choose a site set back from the parking area enhances the feeling of being in a natural setting.
Promotional information is not explicitly mentioned in the reviews. However, the positive feedback regarding the beauty of the campsites, the birding opportunities, and the lake access can be seen as organic promotion. For any specific promotions, such as off-season rates, group discounts, or special events, it would be best to contact North Gorge Campground directly.

North Gorge Campground Reviews
Perfect little escape. Not much of a beach but swimming among the flowers was pretty cool. If you are a birder, this was a lovely cross section of habitats, plenty of species to enjoy for July. Not very buggy for having a wetland corner on the downstream side.
Jul 10, 2023 · Kerry LoganGorgeous campsites, with some designed to accommodate both tents and RVs. Some campsites are clustered together, for group adventures, each with plenty of natural vegetation, elevation changes, and access to the lake for beauty and privacy. Some campsites are set back from paved parking for a feeling of really leaving the workaday world behind. Multiple boat launch ramps and latrines.
Oct 29, 2023 · holly windsong greenwoodBeautiful scenery, nice lake Roosevelt. Cute very little camping areas. To many bees this year.

Aug 22, 2023 · Gerald SensenigNice campground. Limited turn around for camper. A 6.5 meter camper had to back in about 50 meters to get in spot. Nice boat launch for small boat. Gorgeous sunsets. No potable water. Bathroom was clean. Then there's the 0700 and 2045 freight trains that sound like it's coming through camp. Beautiful views of the mighty Columbia gets this campground a generous 3 stars.
